Facebook has reportedly removed a recent ad from the Trump campaign, claiming that the ad features factually incorrect information about refugees and the coronavirus pandemic.
NBC News reports that Facebook stated this week that it took down political ads by the Trump campaign that claimed that accepting refugees from abroad could increase the risk of exposure to the coronavirus.

Facebook spokesperson Andy Stone said in a statement on the removal: “We rejected these ads because we don’t allow claims that people’s physical safety, health, or survival is threatened by people on the basis of their national origin or immigration status.”
The ad from the Trump campaign featured footage of Democratic nominee Joe Biden discussing border security and claims that Biden would increase refugee admissions from Somalia, Syria, and Yemen by 700 percent. The ad further states that “an increase in refugees” represents public health risks.

1) Pre-2020: Trump is a racist xenophobe for wanting to control the borders. Thank God the Federal courts and Democrats are hindering his restrictions on travel to this country. Trump must be impeached. In the meanwhile its great we are keeping him from being able to order travel bans.
2) March 2020: Trump is a xenophobe using this little coronavirus thing as an excuse to ban travel from China. Coronavirus is not a real concern, its just racism driving Trumps desire to restrict travel from abroad, not real concern about public safety, these coronavirus concerns are silly. The important thing is to focus on impeaching Trump.
3) Today: Trump is a murderer of 200,000 Americans for not restricting travel from other countries to protect us from the coronavirus.
4) Also Today: And by the way suggesting that restricting travel from other countries could ever be a threat to public safety or health is so despicable that it should not even be talked about.
