The 33% local income tax might seem steep (and it is), but new residents can get a tax exemption through Acts 20/22, and pay just 4% income tax under certain circumstances, and 0% tax on capital gains and dividends.

I know the Left wants PR to become a state so that they can gain two extra senatorial seats.
***********************
I’m wondering:
Could an existing state like SC or FL annex PR?

Stupid question I’m sure but these are crazy times and I am trying to think outside the box...anything to keep the Left from gaining two extra seats for themselves.

Politically, financially and safety-wise, Puerto Rico is a basket case. However, the women are very attractive.

After the election, when Democrats take the Senate, hold the House and take the Oval office, Puerto Rico will become a state. Then all those nice tax bennies will come to a screeching halt.

BTW, same thing is true for the State of the District of Columbia.

I wish the WSJ would stop using the word “homes” when they “vacation properties” or “investment properties,” but they won’t.

This is a wonderful affirmation that people with money see what Trump has started to do to rehabilitate Puerto Rico and believe in it. This brings private money to the island which is the best kind. A win - win for America and Trump!
