so... they are smart enough to see the danger liberals created, but too stupid to vote for Republicans to stop it? They get what they deserve.

Looks like WA is shall-issue, but may require answers to written questions, and perhaps an oral interview. On top of a 30 day waiting period, I’m sure that Covid restrictions could tie things in a pretty good knot. Pre-Covid, my Oregon county had a problem with the fingerprinting process that balled things up for months. I’m sure the cretins in King County government could get creative in their delays.

Have you gone through the process?

the main function of this stuff is to use it to become proficient in the use of my guns

this is true. I shoot between 5000 and 8000 rounds a year between pistol, rifle and shotgun. That’s why it’s so funny when you see reports of people getting arrested with a 200 round ammo stash, like that’s evil.

Reloading drills (under stress) are equally important. Please don't neglect this. Particularly shotguns and revolvers.

A friend told me she had to wait ten days before she could pick up her firearm - not sure but a few months ago I bought a Henry .22 pump at Outdoor Sportsman’s Warehouse and walked out with it same day. I’ve not heard about any waiting period. I renewed my CWP in June of this year with no problems. I’ll have to check on this.

Absolutely. I teach this stuff and shoot with advanced shooters regularly.

The 30 day wait was for initial CCW permit. I think renewal is same-day. I remember a big rush of people getting permits after Trump was elected. In hind-sight, a very wise move.

They are packed so densely in the city there is not enough room for gun ranges that provide classes that allow citizens to arm themselves in Seattle legally and possess a firearm.

I am very surprised that 2/3s of them said they “would” arm themselves!

You mean you haven’t already armed yourselves? What the heck are you waiting for, the barbarians at the gate?

One of the things I came back with (two, actually) are 33 round magazines for the Glock I also came back with. I don’t know what I’m going to do with them off the practice range, but they certainly make a statement. :)

We bought our neighbor’s property back in 2013, expanding our place to 32 acres, and it also added a knob and a half and two hollers about 400 yards long. I now have all the “shooting range” I need. :)

To clear up the obvious question - My father died a few months ago, was a bit of a prepper, and this is what’s left over. My mother turned his bedroom into an “ammo store” for us kids to drop by and just take what we want, though we write down what we take so that none of us abuse it. Since I’m in Kentucky, I took most of “mine”.

I was planning on buying a Glock 17 and a Ruger 10-22 anyway, and my father had the ruger, with scope, and a bunch of magazines, some VERY high capacity. And I got the Glock 19 with a bunch of magazines. I may trade it in for the 17. None of these guns have been fired more than a few times. My dad collected the stuff, but rarely actually did anything with it.

My sister took the “Texas Defender”. It’s kinda like a little derringer, with two barrels in an over/under configuration. But it came with two extra double barrels. One is .22, one is 9mm, and the other is 410 shotgun. That last one will test your wrist, arm and shoulder, I’m sure. The sucker had never been fired. Very beautiful.

Normalcy bias.

They have been coddled and pampered their whole life.

The USA has not had a serious war on its own soil for over 150 years.

We have been the most prosperous, powerful, and just society on the face of the earth for at least 50 years.

Now, they are shocked: What? Prosperity and peace are not the default position of society?

I remember when I bought my first gun. It was a .22 I got from Wal-Mart in 1978 for $30. It even had a scope. When I carried it, it felt like I was holding pure evil. It was weird. I had been brought up in liberal Seattle, and there were still trace elements of my public school indoctrination.

Now I understand that a gun is nothing more than just another tool. And like most tools, if mishandled it can hurt, maim, or kill.

My first .22 was a Sears bolt action with magazine and scope. $29 in 1970. Still have it. It will go to a nephew in a few more years when he is old enough. My first lever action was a Winchester 30-30, for $79, about 1975. I still have that one as well though its doesn’t get used much. Most of what I shoot today is AR platform (mostly custom home builds), defensive pistol, or precision long range (.308 and bigger). I wont tell you (or my wife) how much I spent on those...

Sounds like the Seattle Dems realize it is THEIR OWN PEOPLE who are the problem.

Not likely.

Good luck getting ammo though. Glad I bought some before the crap started. Wish I’d bought more.

No, no, no...the problem is the right people aren't in charge.

I lived there for many years.

Washington state is beautiful.

The city of Seattle was amazing (before the Marxist city planners tore down all the cool old, historic buildings to build new ‘hip’ concrete and steel).

When I had the chance, I fled the city of Seassholes as fast as I could. I saw the writing on the wall, and it was the Seassholes (the leftists in the city) that ruined that city.

New Trump voters I suspect.

Maybe a few, I doubt there are many... democrats love their party more than life itself.

I felt the same as well about Washington State... my first Air Force assignment was near Spokane in the late 1970s, and I traveled from time to time through both Seattle and Portland... they were beautiful, friendly cities then... I wouldn’t send my worst enemies to those hellholes now. As for the portion of Washington outside Sea-Tac area, it’s a similar situation to the captive environment of the northern and eastern counties of California.

There WILL be an Urban Millenial Trump vote.

We'll have to see about that... learning doesn't occur easily with those people. Yes, that young woman may have been frightened, but the key is.. who do they blame?

Very true.

The people outside of King County and outside the Snohomish area are very good, conservative people.

They are ruled by the concentration of Marxists in Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia and Spokane.

That is what will happen to this country if we allow the communists to destroy the Electoral College.
