White House reporters are used to getting attacked as "fake news" these days, but on Monday several were reportedly "attacked" in a whole new way: by an angry raccoon.
In an incident that sparked viral jokes on Twitter, CBS's Paula Reid said a raccoon on the White House lawn had "attacked multiple news crews."
"Strong Pawnee vibes at White House this morning as a raccoon attacked multiple news crews on North Lawn. allegedly grabbed pant leg of a photographer & then a corespondent [sic] before being fended off," she tweeted, referring to the fictional town of Pawnee, Ind. from the sitcom "Parks and Recreation," where raccoons are a frequent nuisance.
SNIP
I remember that. One of them was quoted as saying, “Only white people care about animals.” The story died down pretty quick.
There was a local black radio host who used to go on and on about how White people cared more about animals than they did about black children.
It's a common theme in black communities.
No video. Darn.

Of course they went after the press. It’s well known that raccoons are attracted to trash.

I decided to take my commuting beater around the big country loop for a shakedown cruise... I’m about 10 or 12 miles from home and I’m going down this country road and this raccoon is walking across the road... stops looks at my vehicle approaching him at about 35 miles an hour rears up shows teeth, looks raggedy... and knowing that in my state rabid raccoons can be an issue rather than avoid the raccoon... babump...
Let me qualify that decision by saying I’ve seen a lot of raccoons who were normal, this one was definitely rabid
The Racoon are Secret Service Ninja.
Isn’t able to identify the culprit. It was seen leaving in a mask.
Add a skunk and you have a win/win.
Was the raccoon wearing a MAGA cap? If not, we need to send him one.
Yeah I tweeted or retweeted that. And now I’m in Twitter jail for three days. They’re leaving me guessing why.
Weird thing is that they removed my Orca tweet.
I also tweeted and PINNED news about Orcas attacking boats in and around the Bay of Biscay. I noted both things on my profile to give people an idea of how interesting my page is.
But it could also be that my research on Biden is just too painful for them.
