Every time you look at your television there is a new Black Lives Matter protest in another city and it invariably involves violence and looting.
And after months of the nation being under siege from these thugs, the citizens have had enough of their antics, The Daily Mail reports.
Support for Black Lives Matter has plummeted like a rock since enjoying a high of 54% support in June compared to 39% now.
Christian Davenport, a political scientist from the University of Michigan, said the change is due to “compassion fatigue” as the videos of incidents like the George Floyd police encounter have faded.
The shift also occurred as the new poll showed nearly a third of Americans believe the protests are “mostly or always violent,” a dramatic change from 22% three months ago.
There was a steep division among racial lines, with 33% of white respondents and 10% of black respondents saying they believe the protests are “mostly or always violent.”
Only 35% of white Americans say that they approve of the protests today and 50% disapprove. That’s a switch from June, when 53% approved and 34% disapproved.
Of the Latinos polled, 31% approve of the protests, a decline from the 44% who approved of them in June.
And among those who identify as black Americans, 63% still support the protests, but that is still a significant drop from 81% in June.
“I was supportive back in June, but after seeing everything up until now, I’m almost dead against them,” Dave Hipelious, of New Lenox, Illinois, told the Associated Press.
Hipelious, a white man aged 63, said that his support for the protests waned as rioting, arson, and looting started to become more prevalent.

BLM has always been astroturfed. As soon as I saw the official platform talked about the “epidemic of violence against Queer and Transwomen of color” I knew it was fake. Does anyone think that is a grassroots issue among blacks?
My hope is that BLM, the democrats, and media (really part of both) do not drive a wedge in America. That is what they want because it benefits them politically. Don’t fall for this crap.
The majority of Americans who happen to be black want the same things we do and it is not the vision of BLM. There are many who are beginning to see this clearly and rejecting the radical vision of the left.

54% to 39% is “plummeted like a rock”? Hardly. If support today were 5% to 10%, I would call that a “plummet.” I call 54% to 39% just “erosion.” It is WAY too high. It ought to be zero.

The wedge was driven by Obama and has been driven in much farther by the marxist BLM leveraging the police killing of black criminals in threatening circumstances.
You are right and the fact you have to go to a British newspaper to even hear about the erosion is telling.

I read (online) coverage of one big city (that shall not be named...).
The local press always has headlines about crimes against “Queer and Transwomen of color”.
Those crimes were committed by blacks—every time.
Chants heard at Black Lives Matter events :
“Pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon”, harkening back to the hippies of the ‘60s who called police pigs.
“What do we want? Dead cops! When do we want them? Now!!”
Black Lives Matter apologists excuse rioting based on the property owners having insurance.
The founders of Black Lives Matter are self admitted Marxists, so that right there makes me very suspicious of this organization.
I cannot support any organization dedicated to “defunding” the police.
I’ve heard that there is a problem with violence against “transgender” prostitutes. So probably such events when they happen, are trumped up by the media.
Victor Davis Hanson has an excellent podcast titled "The Classicist." In the September 14 episode "Descent Into Tribalism" he talked about private property, the concept that what you create is yours, and the role of insurance in a safe and stable society. He pointed out that, as an owner of property, you want to work and invest in the community and improve it to protect your investment.
He utterly destroyed the infantile argument that the property owners have insurance so it is acceptable to riot and destroy their property.
I highly recommend it.

Not relevant to Democrat plans. Do the big donors still support it? That's what really matters.
If this poll is any where near accurate it shows how ignorant a majority of Americans are. It’s really hideous. But understand, that starting point here has always been based in one irrefutable statistic: 50% of Americans have below average IQ’s.
And 47% are getting “free” stuff from the government. That’s an amazing correlation right there.
