Hes serving hard time for hard partying.
A Maryland man was sentenced Friday to a year in prison for hosting two parties in defiance of the states coronavirus orders barring large gatherings, a local Fox affiliate reported.
Shawn Marshall Myers, 42, had 50 to 60 people over in his Hughesville home for the first bash he threw on March 22, according to the Charles County Sheriffs Office.
When officers arrived to shut down the soiree, Myers was argumentative but eventually agreed to disband his party, the county States Attorney alleged.
But he went right back to raging, throwing another party with more than 50 people less than a week later on March 27, the station reported.

Beyond being argumentative, Myers directed his guests to stay in defiance of [Gov. Larry Hogans] orders and the officers lawful orders to disband the party.

There is no pandemic exemption in the Constitution.
Yes! It’s a great day here in Florida. Gov. DeSantis is the best large-state governor in the nation — not that he has much competition after the abysmal performances of Newsom, Cuomo, and Pritzer and the weakness shown by Abbott.
This good news comes just a week after I had to tell a local volunteer organization what they could do with their mask mandate.
I had invested seven years in this group. But I don’t regret my decision.
As a retired newspaperman — a real reporter/editor — I would no sooner comply with a mask diktat than put my byline on a story I knew was full of bad information, if not outright lies.
Stupid
Run these bumbs out of town...
‘If you cant follow your elected officials you are no better than the blm, antifa etc.’
give it a rest; this shit has gone on long enough...
I think the thing that got him charged was opening his door. He can be as big of a prick as he wants, but when he opened his door and the police see the violation of the order (I’m not saying that the order is valid or not) and then he was a dick to police (of whom have the discretion to arrest or not arrest) he shot himself in the foot so to speak. How’s that for a run-on sentence.
He should be able to beat the charge, but who knows.
MHO YMMV
That’s good news. I’ve been putting off travelling there until sanity returns. It’s almost too late in the season to hit the beaches though. Water starts cooling off.
Take it to the next level on constitutional grounds.
That is discouraging. I’m thinking of the Kurt Russell movies “Escape from L.A.” and “Escape from New York”. He may have to do a reboot and escape from Colorado.
These authoritarians sure like crackdown church goers and partiers. Rioters, not so much.
Praying That We The People in Maryland will win this one!
Spicoli proclaims this way bogus.
He should have called it a BLM protest.
Tinhorn, bald headed petty dictator.
This is a political imprisonment. The man is being prosecuted for not conforming.
I hear you. I was born in Miami and go there often. But wearing a mask there is intolerable as it is in the Texas heat. Here is a true story you can write. The Election Infection is a total Deception.
He deserves it for not knowing how to throw a proper party in this covid era. You gotta hang up a BLM banner and throw a molotov cocktail first. I mean come on...everybody knows that.
And Governor Stitt in OK. However, he's been distressingly wishy-washy lately, reiterating on the one hand that he will never force masks on Oklahomans, but on the other hand praising masks to the skies and "strongly recommending" everyone wear them.
I had such high hopes for him when he stood up against the local leftists for so long. He may come back around, but I'm a lot more cautious in my optimism than before.
IIRC the order did not come from the CO Governor but from the County Health Officer (probably appointed, not elected) backed by the Boulder city Council.
Applies only to persons 18 - 22 years of age so it will not withstand a 14th Amendment challenge.
If anyone still has a pair...
Read the Maryland Declaration of rights. Completely unconstitutional.
You gotta fight, for your right, to paaaarty!
