We need better self defense laws. Defending property and defending your community should allow wide freedom of action. People will learn to be more polite and respectful.

“In what Franklin said would be his “last statement concerning Jake Gardner and James Scurlock,”

No no. Your last statement on this will be offered with a blindfold sir.

“We need better self defense laws”

The dead guy had him in a chokehold for 18 seconds before he smoked the guy.

The laws are fine. It’s the communists that need to be changed.

One day before Jake Gardner fatally shot James Scurlock outside his bar in downtown Omaha, President Trump threatened to send the military to Minneapolis in response to violent clashes between police and protesters following the death of George Floyd in police custody, tweeting “when the looting starts, the shooting starts.”

This has absolutely nothing to do with the shooting. This is just more TDS from the usual suspects.

..."him doing so deprived the community to be able to have this evidence play out at trial."

This is a bad case of ebonics and was a dead giveaway.

“The timing of Trump’s tweet, which Twitter has since removed from public view for violating its policy on glorifying violence, “is significant in terms of Jake Gardner’s affinity for the president,” special prosecutor Fredrick Franklin told members of the press in Omaha on Wednesday. “

I was waiting for the “It’s Trump’s Fault” moment and there it is. What a bunch of codswallop.

Isn’t that what well armed militias are supposed to do? Plan to defend themselves and others?

The left scream that the constitution was only talking about militias, not average citizens- but when folks act like militias in defending themselves and others against domestic terrorists like antifa and blm, the left are quick to prosecute-

The Jake Gardner case is absolutely infuriating and heartbreaking. I can’t temper my rage over this.

The laws ARE NOT fine or people wouldn’t continue to get arrested and charged with stacked felonies for clear self-defense. Not everyone can afford to spend $40-100K on lawyers and wait a decade for a case to play through the courts. It infuriates me to see people in true fear for their life trying to maneuver their vehicle around these mobs, be attacked, have windows broken, and then be arrested. The point of stand your ground laws was rooted in this; without duty to retreat, you are assumed to be defending yourself unless there is clear evidence to the contrary and you will not be arrested and tried. I’d rather go too far the other way; if someone is in a group and is on your property or blocking a road without a permit, you may do what you feel necessary, to include using deadly force and will not be charged.

That POS blamed it on Trump, tied Gardner to Trump as a racist, and strongly implied that Gardner was guilty of murder.

This is still rebounding back on this “special” prosecutor.

The special prosecutor is unfit for the job and should furthermore be disbarred.

just last night, they let the stinkin arsonist who threw a molotov cocktail at cops off- A BLM sympathizing prosecutor dropped the charges-

The moral of the story is that if a person is a liberal scumbag, they can attempt to murder someone- even cops- and not be prosecuted- but a law abiding person who defends themselves against domestic terrorists will be tried and convicted-

I would be happy to give these people a country of their own to live however they pleased. I would move a long way to help make that happen. Maybe after the election, when the shooting stops anyway . . .
