Police advocates are questioning the 'light' charges brought against the man who allegedly shot and wounded two Louisville cops during a demonstration, demanding to know why the suspect doesn't face an attempted murder charge.
Larynzo D. Johnson, 26, was charged with 14 counts of wanton endangerment and two counts of assault on a police officer after the shooting on Wednesday night in Louisville.
Injured were Major Aubrey Gregory, who was shot in the hip and has been released from the hospital, and Officer Robinson Desroches, who was shot in the abdomen and required emergency surgery, but is expected to survive.

Disgusting! Unless these charges are simply initial charges only and will later be upgraded to include attempted murder charges.
The police had better get their act together as professionals regarding what laws they are willing to act to enforce. They lose all credibilty everywhere when they allow themselves to be used by cockamamie leftist mayors and DAs by letting rioters commit murder and mayhem with abandon then turn right around and arrest innocent people defending themselves from the riotous thugs and arrest people who aren’t wearing face masks. They look no better than venal mercenaries to the vwery people who might be inclined to support them.

Why should murderers be given a break for their incompetence and the quick response and competence of the medical team?
First degree murder.
Tell them to check with qualified counsel, or a 1L, or even someone with intelligence who hasn’t been to law school. I suspect most police officers can easily parse the homicide provisions of the Kentucky criminal code.

Is the perp local? was he involved in interstate riot promotion? Can he be charged with Federal crimes?
