I was under the impression that there were federal laws about shooting and killing police, which have overruled any state or municipal laws.

The police had better get their act together as professionals regarding what laws they are willing to act to enforce. They lose all credibilty everywhere when they allow themselves to be used by cockamamie leftist mayors and DAs by letting rioters commit murder and mayhem with abandon then turn right around and arrest innocent people defending themselves from the riotous thugs and arrest people who aren’t wearing face masks. They look no better than venal mercenaries to the vwery people who might be inclined to support them.

To tell you the truth, I am amazed at how good the suspect looks in the mugshot. Well, actually, I guess I should commend the officers for not sending the SOB straight to the morgue.
Their restraint is admirable.
Still, the very fact that you can shot two police officers and, at a minimum, not have your facial features immediately rearranged is really disturbing.
They are very well trained, to say the least.
