Yup. I work in IT, can you tell where my knowledge of far too many seniors being stupid comes from?
And yes, I do distinguish “unfamiliar with technology” from “stupid.”
At my company, it was explained that the Employee Payroll Tax Deferral program was an opt-in program. They stated a scenario whereby you could elect to defer your withholding but would have to pay it back in over several paychecks after a certain date. They issued a survey to gauge interest among employees.
Perhaps Trump should state that this is a optional tool made available to families during COVID-19 that can provide flexibility should they need it and is not mandatory.
Here in Arizona, Biden is running ads. His total comment on COVID is “I’ll DEAL with the virus!” No specifics. Nothing. Just “I’ll DEAL with the virus!”. Running repeatedly on conservative talk radio.
Almost all my friends are on the far side of 60, and all of them are passionate about voting for Trump. And I’d bet 75% of them would refuse to talk to a pollster.

Nope, not believing this one - just pointing out, as someone else did, that there’s a lot of stupid seniors that *would* be swayed by this. See the ongoing massive success of things like the Nigerian scams, the Indian fake Microsoft fix-it scams, etc.

The problem is the most voters are so uneducated that can’t remember from election to election that the Democrats use this strategy over and over again.

I realize the campaign is fighting battles on a million fronts but they need to address this false messaging asap.

As do I. These articles say things like this but have little or no proof. I counter by say all this rioting and violence is harming Biden a great deal.
They run an ad here. Supposedly a career Navy retired veteran is being denied healthcare by Trump for pre-existing conditions. But....if he is a retired military man, he is covered by TRICARE! He HAS health insurance and HAS had it for DECADES! Or is on Medicare and cannot, by definition, have a “pre-existing condition” that prevents him from getting Medicare that he already is on.
STUPID. But I’ve run into New York transplants (and some from California) who blindly parrot the talking points of the DNC. Incredibly STUPID people from New York! Why in the hell do we allow people from New York to retire and vote in Arizona?!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We need to pass a Constitutional Amendment banning transplants from voting in Arizona elections until they have lived here for 10 years.
Here in Florida these ads are running constantly, and I’m in a deep red region.
Trump needs to counter ASAP.
I have seen these commercials and I just laugh at a career politician with gold plated, diamond encrusted congressional health care telling us all that Obamacare lets him sleep easy.
Seniors can be a very selfish bunch.
