Her drug-dealing accomplices shot at the police, that is why she was shot. The police returned fire.

"The current boyfriend was not involved with drugs"

They did not raid because of the current boyfriend. They raided her apartment because of the old boyfriend Jamarcus Glover use her address to have stuff delivered in the mail.

Jamarcus Glover used her apartment as address to drop packages off. There were drugs and other related items like baggies to make dine bags and etc removed from the apartment. If I see baggies with a bag of marijuana I would think they were selling dime bags. For the people not raise in the hood, here is Dime bag defined

Her and current boy friend were most likely involved with drug dealing.

Fact Checks by Courier Journal

Stay tune there is most likely more info to come out. Just like all the other cases where people are quick to blame the police.

Even though the warrent was a no knock, the police decided to announe them selves.

"In a recorded statement to investigators, Mattingly said police executed the warrant at Taylor's apartment at the same time as the home on Elliott Avenue. Mattingly said the warrant for her apartment was secured as a no-knock, but he was told to knock and announce."

That may be true, but selling marijuana should not merit a death sentence.
She should have also cut off ties with anyone dealing drugs, because she is dead and they are alive.
Poor judgement on her part.

“That may be true, but selling marijuana should not merit a death sentence.”

You make it sound like the police handed her a death sentence for selling marijuana.

The police did not choose to hand down a death sentence. The police did not shoot because of marijuanna. They shot because of the current boyfriend fire first and one of the police officers being hit.

The police have a right to go home to their families, the police defended themselves.

We do not have the full story yet on what other type of drugs were being sold. We only have one photo that shows the top half of a form leak out with the first few lines of stuff taken.

They determined from an independent witness that the police knocked and identified themselves. Listening to press conference now. Did the boyfriend hear it?

Don’t raid homes because of marijuana. Most states have legalized it. Spend time dealing with the rapists, rioters, murderers, drug dealers who deal meth and heroin, etc.
Doing a raid on a home for marijuana is just plain stupid.

We all remember Waco. They knew Koresh left the compound periodically. They could have arrested him away from the compound. Many lives would have been saved. This is a similar scenario.
Drug raids with guns blazing is not the way to do it. They could have monitored the home, and when the occupants were leaving with their boxes, arrest them there.
No knocks are good for hostage or terrorist bomb situations, not for marijuana.
Also, they could have announce their presence, and maybe did so, but if they were asleep, they may not have heard it. A lot of people have guns at their bedside, so timing would not be a factor.

Our right to be secure in our person and trial by jury is in the bill of rights. Their job is supposed to be to protect and serve. They need to stop approaching every situation like we’re the enemy.

Got a snapshot of this streaming video (at the front of the march) - just before it was cut off - there's now a message saying the video violated the you-tube guidelines.

louisville-20200923
google throw a dice

Also received word that many out-of-towners are there, including some from the west coast.

Report from the ground: Police have downtown locked down, and trailing insurrectionists traveling west on Kentucky street toward I-65 as of 14:30 hrs (approx 150 & growing). scuttlebutt says they may be prepping to attack areas on the outter parts of Louiville.

Residents be warned: antifa and other ready to employ violence. Do NOT count on police protection by sundown.

Wow feel free to condemn the police officers, it is your right.

Waco was a federal response, and who was in charge back then. Were the Feds invovlce since you are comparing?

Just remember you do not have all the facts. It could have been more then marijuana. Marijuana is the only thing I can make out in the Seized Property Log. I wonder what more is down the page, and what is on page 2.

Must have been a lot US currency not to list the total amount, maybe they need a count machine.

Just maybe this is bigger then just marijuanna. I would side with the Police officers on this one first until we get all the facts. I guess you do not beleive the Grand Jury in this case too. The Grand Jury has all the facts.

Rush just said that a truck was observed unloading masks and shields and the verdict hadn’t been announced more than thirty minutes prior. Definitely planned well in advance.

Also saw white boys with gas masks piling into pickups. Could not make out the out-of-state plates, but guessing Indiana. Amazing how many out-of-town you tubers are out there.

waiting to hear more from on the ground.

Ok, their job is to get shot too, the police have no right to go home. /s

Get all the facts before you judge the police officers. The Grand Jury chooses not to indict, they have all the facts. The prosecutor failed to convince the Grand Jury to bring forth criminal charges. The police officer acted accordly to the law.

How Does a Grand Jury Work?

"They need to stop approaching every situation like we’re the enemy."

How many police officers have been murder in the last six month? They are being shot at by Antif/BLM and ran through the mud by people like Archie Bucker's son-inlaw (Meathead).

I side with the police, and all I have heard it was marijuana. Which raids for are ridiculous.
Lucky it is raining hard in the Pacific NW, we may be able to avoid riots. Although more riots will bring more votes to Trump.

No. Their job is to be SMART and not turn everything into an us or them situation.

I’ve got all the facts. The important facts are the COPS decided this was going to be a violent situation, and chose not to wear their body cameras.

Not nearly as many as the cops have killed.

If Breonna Taylor had been exercising her right to keep and bear arms perhaps she could have defended herself against the people who killed her.

Breonna Taylor's boyfriend did exercise his right to keep and bear arms against armed intruders in his home (they wore plain clothes and did not identify themselves as police). That got her shot.

Look how well that turned out in Kenosha.
