More like cancer given the amount of idiots, who long voted for the cancer they are bailing from, now headed to other states to spread their same cancer that invariably turned California into a 1st world cancerous sh*thole.

>>Yet state and local governments not only insist on moving forward with leftist policies, but continually double down by moving even farther left, and the state’s voters return them to office with ever-increasing electoral margins.<<

That is b/c smart producers are leaving and replaced by stupid takers who vote always for gibmedats while not realizing the other “me” in the equation is always someone else.

The rich left there are simply in a position to exploit this situation - more than the confiscatory taxes are able to take.

I don’t know that it is reasonable to expect control over vast forests. Better to be aware and prepare when building near, or in them. Have a system in place to preserve life and property. Clear locally and use that product for manufacturing. Most of that forest has probably been untoched by humans since the beginning.

Those people who feel that California OR this country is going to the dogs ought to try living in ANY other country
1. south of our border , ANYWHERE south of our border.
2. anywhere in Asia
3. anywhere in Africa

THEN try and tell me that anyplace in this country is going under.
California the the fifth largest economy ON THE PLANET so "boo-hoo" for them -- NOT.

On the fire thing if you don’t live in California you’ll never understand the concept that there’s a 0% chance of rain from April until October every single year I mean 0.00% chance that makes it incredibly difficult to not only be a planter a tree right but it also makes everything incredibly dry by July August September and so any kind of spark and you’re gonna have a 🔥 Now last year 2019 after the big crazy Paradise NAPA and Sonoma fires in 2017 and 2018 the big boys spent a lot of money closing parts and build a giant fire breaks all over the peninsula near San Mateo and in other parts of California And of course then this year we had the dry lightning thing happen which of course has been happening for thousands of years and it started about 1000 fires overnight in August and so what the hell are you gonna do about that? I always joke with people out here or you could go in the words on the East Coast with a giant flame thrower and nothings gonna happen

Yet California's tone-deaf politicians continue to enjoy immense support from their oblivious electorate.

Well then, enjoy.

The saddest thing is Cali was once the most beautiful of states with its varied geography. You can still go from the ocean to the mountains to the desert in a matter of hours but you have to drive through an ocean of humanity to do it.

"Yet state and local governments not only insist on moving forward with leftist policies, but continually double down by moving even farther left, and the state's voters return them to office"

With 1.5 million more registered voters, than number of people who actually live in California, not so sure voters did "return them to office" (and I think that 1.5 million figure was just for Los Angeles county- so could be an even bigger number state-wide?). Looks like the criminal enterprise known as Democrat Party has been engaging in massive vote fraud?

But, if this is so, what, if anything, can be done about it?

Also, why would anyone return these lunatics to office?

It's hard to believe Californians, who have some of the highest priced properties in the country, endorse the politicians wrecking the place. Do they really want to end up having to sell their investments at the 99 cent store?

(Or, is there something even more sinister going on -like TPTB deliberately driving values down through criminality)?

Put nothing past the Corruptocrat party.

But again, what can be done?

🤔

The majority of the Cali voters are proving the “fruit” and “nuts” adage. More popcorn!!
