no city ever taken over by liberals has ever GOTTEN BETTER, in ANY way.

More like cancer given the amount of idiots, who long voted for the cancer they are bailing from, now headed to other states to spread their same cancer that invariably turned California into a 1st world cancerous sh*thole.

>>Yet state and local governments not only insist on moving forward with leftist policies, but continually double down by moving even farther left, and the state’s voters return them to office with ever-increasing electoral margins.<<
That is b/c smart producers are leaving and replaced by stupid takers who vote always for gibmedats while not realizing the other “me” in the equation is always someone else.
The rich left there are simply in a position to exploit this situation - more than the confiscatory taxes are able to take.

California...the model and objective for America.

I don’t know that it is reasonable to expect control over vast forests. Better to be aware and prepare when building near, or in them. Have a system in place to preserve life and property. Clear locally and use that product for manufacturing. Most of that forest has probably been untoched by humans since the beginning.

Those people who feel that California OR this country is going to the dogs ought to try living in ANY other country
1. south of our border , ANYWHERE south of our border.
2. anywhere in Asia
3. anywhere in Africa
THEN try and tell me that anyplace in this country is going under.
California the the fifth largest economy ON THE PLANET so "boo-hoo" for them -- NOT.

Time to split the state, let the northern part go its own way.

They LOVE it ...until there is a problem, fire, floods, ANY kind of disaster.
THEN they expect to be BAILED out by the gobmint or SOMEONE. THEN they want help.
All your advice is correct.
Those in the boonies also have a LONG drive to any hospital or doctor. What DO they expect?!
Are we spoiled or what?

On the fire thing if you dont live in California youll never understand the concept that theres a 0% chance of rain from April until October every single year I mean 0.00% chance that makes it incredibly difficult to not only be a planter a tree right but it also makes everything incredibly dry by July August September and so any kind of spark and youre gonna have a 🔥 Now last year 2019 after the big crazy Paradise NAPA and Sonoma fires in 2017 and 2018 the big boys spent a lot of money closing parts and build a giant fire breaks all over the peninsula near San Mateo and in other parts of California And of course then this year we had the dry lightning thing happen which of course has been happening for thousands of years and it started about 1000 fires overnight in August and so what the hell are you gonna do about that? I always joke with people out here or you could go in the words on the East Coast with a giant flame thrower and nothings gonna happen

state’s voters return them to office with ever-increasing electoral margins.
Is it the voters or the vote counters?
To: CoastWatcher
It’s the voters. I see it all the time on the facebook news. Comments when the legislature passes some stupid bill like.....we didn’t vote for that! uh....yeah you did when you voted for the Democrat. For some reason these people that keep voting for Democrats think they should get a vote on each individual bill. They totally miss the correlation between voting for a Democrat and the bills that get passed. The stupidity is astounding.

I honestly believe California will be a state that will turn red so fast it will make everyones head spin. Hispanics already are the state majority. At some point...one of them is going to go Republican and click with that majority. But there is simply too many bad decisions effecting too many people and they will wake up.
To: cloudmountain
Note that there are no fires in Baja California, nor in British Columbia, as far as I know. The Mexican government is not foolish enough to prohibit controlled burns. The Canadians are, like the West Coast states, foolish. Nonetheless, British Columbia is not targeted by Antifa terrorists. The target is the USA.
To: wareagle7295
Wrong. How do you think California became so blue? Demographics. Millions of people from socialist or semi socialist countries came in. I have Hispanic friends that are conservative as all get out. They still vote Democrat. I’m telling you there is a huge disconnect.

A shift will certainly require a clear fixing of the blame for the state's problems on the Democratic Party - which the surviving CA GOP has always seemed to think is "rude" and would not do.
But the Republican brand is too damaged to be the replacement. Either a populist Trump Party or a new libertarian/free market party, either one led by well-known celebrities could ultimately expose the vote fraud machine and topple the CA Democrats, but it will take years to build up such an organization.

No, that is what i'm saying......one day they will connect. They are going to be in charge soon. They will be the ones dealing with crime etc.
The problem is the demographics changed so quick and drastically (in California). But the deal is they will 'melt' into the US. You can already go google New York Times articles lamenting how second generation Latinos act more like Americans and forget about their hispanic culture. I already see it around me in Alabama, where they dress like me, act like me, hate rap, work hard, kids speak two languages and clearly give a f*** more about education than their black counterparts. They could clearly give two sh*ts about BLM and rioting. However, they vote the way they do because their media (Univision all the way down to the 'Latino News' they get at their neighborhood grocery stores) is worse than our own media at hammering Democrats good/Republics evil.

The saddest thing is Cali was once the most beautiful of states with its varied geography. You can still go from the ocean to the mountains to the desert in a matter of hours but you have to drive through an ocean of humanity to do it.
