Media outlets far and wide made much of the fact that the Amish held a parade, complete with horses and buggies, to show their support for President Trump in a small Ohio town over the weekend.
The parade did happen, but most of the reports on the event were, shall we say, overblown. That said, the idea that the Amish, who traditionally eschew voting for national political candidates, could turn out for Trump on Election Day is worth exploring.
First the parade details: There was indeed a parade held in the tiny town of Fredericksburg, Ohio (pop. 423), over the weekend, and plenty of people turned out to watchhundreds, in fact, according to Wayne County GOP Chairman Doug Deeken, who was in attendance.

And there were a couple of Amish-style buggies in the parade, one of which was driven by two men who looked like they could be Amish, along with a collection of various horses, wagons, and steers. Deeken told PJ Media that reports claiming the Amish community “staged” the event or that they were involved in its organization were exaggerated. That being said, it remains an open question whether the Amish will turn out for Trump in November.

Well, what about Thugs, Hoes and Drag Queens for Biden?
The Amish went for Trump in 2016. They will go for him again in 2020.
I believe so.

Truckers for Trump holding a rally in Champaign county on 10-4
Yeah, people that go to Trump rallies, car parades, biker parades, boat parades, horse parades, they won't actually vote.
Sure, it remains an open question whether any of them will vote.
We participated in a Trump parade in Corpus Christi Saturday (Make Corpus Christi Great Again) put on by a young Hispanic man running for mayor. Over 2,000 cars, took over an hour and a half to go 20 miles. People were pulled over along the route cheering us on. Corpus Christi is about 80% Hispanic. We also have the only Amish community in Texas near Beeville (10 miles from where I live).
At the Leesburg VA Trump Rally on election Eve in 2016 there were many Mennonite and Amish people.
So, are you convinced that the people in the car parade with over 2,000 vehicles, are still an "open question as to whether they will vote"?
You and I both know that every one, that is eligible, will vote and in our case, only once.
Looked like mostly just country folk with a few Amish mixed in. Still pretty unprecedented.
Oh, THOSE Amish!

Love the Amish. My childhood was spent in Wayne County. Wouldn’t trade it for any other.
Hallelujah.
The Amish turned out for Trump in 2016, “bigly”, so why wouldn’t they this time.
Also, I was wondering how authentic the parade was, since the Amish were OK being photographed. Usually, they aren’t.
