Its nothing new for political religions to produce radicals that develop their own sects or cults. This time around, rigid devotion to enforcing mask compliance has produced runaway fanaticism based on nothing but blind faith that more mask-wearing is always better. Even the public health experts, whom these followers all promoted as great prophets just months ago, cant tame their fervor.
Thats a problem, because a return to normalcy will require subduing radical factions that agitate for oppression. Restrictions such as mask mandates are like oxygen to followers of radical fundamentalist Covidianism the abiding belief that only lockdowns, social distancing, and masks can deliver us from the deadly pandemic. The longer mandates stay in place and experts continue promoting mask use My mask protects you! Your mask protects me! the stronger and more widespread the extremism will grow, and the less influence experts will have over their behavior.

You only need a Mask if you watch Television!!!

So far, most studies found little to no evidence for the effectiveness of cloth face masks in the general population, neither as personal protective equipment nor as a source control.
The WHO admitted to the BBC that its June 2020 mask policy update was due not to new evidence but political lobbying: We had been told by various sources WHO committee reviewing the evidence had not backed masks but they recommended them due to political lobbying. This point was put to WHO who did not deny. (D. Cohen, BBC Medical Corresponent)
In many states, infections began to increase after mask mandates were introduced. The following chart shows the very typical example of France. Other examples include California, Florida, Hawaii, Argentina, Peru, the Philippines, Spain, Italy, the UK, Israel, Switzerland and many more.
Yes, it was a life size cut out with his body and face wearing a mask. It was near the customer service counter at a store called woodmans in the chicago burbs.
Mask Nazis are often older, childless women who missed out on lifes best opportunity to humiliate and bully someone weaker than them. Now, they are making up for lost time. :)
Start? I haven't worn a mask since this whole pandemic thing started. I walk into my local grocery store, drugstore and hardware store without a mask and no one has ever said a word to me about it.
Having work in a hospital for 20 years, I know that the masks worn by medical professionals are for protecting them from larger germs and bacteria, not inert submicroscopic viruses that are smaller than the fabric openings in masks.
Masks do squat-diddley against this virus. It's all about control of the population.
The governor of Indiana tried to make it a criminal offense for not wearing a mask in public until public pushback and the state's attorney general saying he couldn't do that. Mini-tyrannt in training. Wannabe dictator.
But I agree. It is time for those who have accepted the government's mask requirements to realize we still live in a free country. We have constitutional rights. I have chosen to stand up for mine and not follow the political whims of these ignorant politicians.
You still see an occasional person driving their car, alone, wearing a mask. I still cant figure that one out.
‘Just refuse to play their game as I have done all along ...’
so where do you get your groceries...? because it’s for damned certain you can’t get into one here (Lititz, PA) unmasked...
‘This nonsense can’t end too soon.’
well, be assured this lunacy will continue apace for the next nine months, at least...
according to my cardiologist...
Poor kids, they look so depressed.
‘Should we force people to ditch their mask in the name of sanity and freedom?’
you win the ‘missing the point’award for the day...
It’s nice to be able to walk around without people wanting autographs and womens throwing themselves on me
“you win the missing the pointaward for the day...”
Is the point group think?
I'm in Pennsylvania.
Most small businesses employees don't say a word.
Customers can, rarely, be "in your face".
Had an older lady ask accusingly "Where's your MASK!?!?"
To which I replied, "With Dr. Levine's DICK"
End of conversation.
Get your groceries at Walmart. It is corporate policy NOT to deny entry to anyone, masked or not!
They will have someone at the entrance to remind you that masks are required but, if you just keep walking, THEY WILL NOT STOP YOU.
Neither my wife nor I have ever worn a mask shopping at Walmart and, if you really want to help defeat this mask insanity, pass this information on to everyone you know.
Does the Federalist now need excerpting?
‘But that is how it goes, and it will continue.’
ye, it will go on forever; we may lose the masks sometime, but there will be some visible marker of compliance that will be forced on us...I’m thinking a symbol of vaccination will be next, so that person may go maskless with minimal intimidation...
If you read the details of most Governor’s masking orders (which almost nobody ever reads) you will find that most have a provision for those who cannot medically wear a mask, “no documentation required”.
Just say, “Can’t—I have a medical reason”.
Under HIPPA no further questions allowed.
That’s a good comeback! Except people outside PA might need to Google “Dr. Levine”
Do you wear dark sunglasses too? I've found that people stare intently, trying to recognize who I am behind the designer sunglasses...and the face mask. I just smile, nod my head, and keep moving along.
I saw a man driving in a convertible, top down, wearing a mask.
I wanted to stop him and tell him that I needed access to his savings account before I could send him the trillion Nigerian dollars that he had just inherited.
I’m still looking for him.
‘I walk into my local grocery store, drugstore and hardware store without a mask and no one has ever said a word to me about it.’
