In podcasts, public forums, social media and medical journals, a growing number of prominent health leaders say they fear that Trump — who has repeatedly signaled his desire for the swift approval of a vaccine and his displeasure with perceived delays at the FDA — will take matters into his own hands, running roughshod over the usual regulatory process.

Someone calm me down, please. But... What happens, if by some freakish fluke, a bunch of pregnant women begin giving birth to babies with birth defects after getting this new COVID vaccine? Remember Thalidomide. It happened. And it is the reason the FDA and other agencies have such a go-slow approach to drug approval today.
You think the bad press is ridiculous now. All I’m saying is maybe we don’t have to pick this fight with the left right now. Pres Trump appears to be on the road to an easy win. Maybe he should just let this one be. For now.
More Nothing But Communism BS. Trump is not stupid. He knows that any vaccine has to be thoroughly tested before it can be released for public use.
What he is hoping that the many trials going on with the vaccines today all over the world, will produce one or two working vaccines before the end of the year that can be put into mass production for public vaccination programs.

Its a Kaiser Health News item. Don’t know how much to trust them. Maybe they aren’t going to get a piece of the vaccination pie and want to delay any other release in order to speed up their own research/release.

I knew they would do this. It shouldn’t be surprising given that he just whacked the pharma companies by forcing them quit subsidizing the rest of the world by overcharging Americans.
And then, we have the halfwit Fauci babbling about how “even with a vaccine” we will all have to wear masks through 2021. Because, he says, it will only be “70%” effective..which happens to be the percentage of people who are asymptomatic.

The election is too soon for any such effect to show up. "If" such happens, the Dem-ons "might" be able to use it as grounds for impeachment in Trump's second term...but HIGHLY unlikely.
