Tucker Carlson denounces RBG's reported dying wish not to be replaced by Trump: 'We don't believe that for a second'

Tucker Carlson reflected on the fragility of life Monday following the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, reminding viewers that "life is bigger than politics, even this year."

The "Tucker Carlson Tonight" host opened his show by commenting on reports that Ginsburg's final wish was to not be replaced until a new president was sworn into office, a sentiment he described as "pathetic" if true.

"Keep in mind, we don't know actually what Ruth Bader Ginsburg's final words were," Carlson said. "Did she really leave this world fretting about a presidential election?

I find it hard to believe, that on her deathbed, a very ill woman is waxing poetic about how and when she would be replaced on the Supreme Court.

IMPORTANT
Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said he believed President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court pick would be confirmed before the election.

Cruz said such action was justified by the U.S. Senate, given the possibility the high court would have to weigh in on the presidential election.

JOE BIDEN has been explicit. He has said, IF HE DOESN’T WIN HE WILL CHALLENGE THE ELECTION. He’s going to go to court. He’s going to challenge it. He’s already hired a big legal team. Hillary Clinton has told Joe Biden, “Under no circumstances should you concede.” Given that, there is a serious risk of a constitutional crisis, IF JOE BIDEN is bringing litigation, like we had in Bush v. Gore but IN FIVE OR TEN STATES…

It talks about the epic battle where AL GORE CHALLENGED THE ELECTION RESULTS, AND FOR 36 DAYS, THE COUNTRY WAS HELD IN CHAOS.

Well, IF JOE BIDEN DOES THIS AGAIN THIS YEAR AND WE HAVE AN EQUALLY DIVIDED 8 (SUPREME COURT), 4-4, CAN’T DECIDE ANYTHING.

That could make this PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION DRAGS ON FOR WEEKS AND MONTHS AND WELL INTO NEXT YEAR! That is an INTOLERABLE SITUATION FOR THIS COUNTRY. We NEED a FULL COURT ON ELECTION DAY, given the VERY HIGH LIKELIHOOD that we’re going to SEE LITIGATION THAT GOES TO COURT.

WE NEED A SUPREME COURT THAT CAN GIVE A DEFINITIVE ANSWER FOR THE COUNTRY.

Whether it is true or not, using it as something that should matter is just another pathetic stunt by the Ds.

Reminiscent of the Bob Woodward and CIA chief William Casey’s death bed conversation.

Leftists have vivid imaginations and they’re not afraid to embellish a story or two.

All my life I would say “Nobody on their deathbed says, ‘I wish I spent more time at the office!’’”

Until now.

Are you sure she didn’t repeat her saying that a President in his last year is President to the last day or to that affect, meaning he could go forward with a nomination to the Senate....I believe she was quoted with some statement to that back in 2016?

She was a political activist first and foremost for 70 years

No reason to think she wouldn’t be right up until the end

It’s just the Democrat way.

They own you in life and death. They will tax your earnings, investments and your estate. And should you die, they will make sure your vote continues to count, for them.

Can’t wait to see how many states RBG will cast her ballot for the 2020 election.

Sure they will. If stealing her last words isn’t out of bounds, casting her ballot won’t even register as tasteless to today’s democrat party.

It’s disgusting how quickly they started looting before her body reached the casket. But, how dare she die before the election and jeppordise their chance to capture full control of the scotus.

If you were to take all the positions the Democratic party stands for and apply them as the attributes of a 40 year old white male, it would produce an image of a man so evil, Satan wouldn’t leave his back exposed in his presence.

I too doubt she said it. But even if she did, it’s irrelevant to anything. Alive or dead, the executive branch does not have to bow to her wishes. Does anybody think for a minute that if Trump became ill and died, that any of the Dems would honor his deathbed wish?

RPG put herself in this situation. Dems asked her to resign during Obama’s term. She chose to place her bet on Hillary winning. She lost.

Despite any differences of philosophy or politics we may have with her, I strongly believe that she knew the constitution forward and backward and knew that she would be replaced by DJT.

I also believe that she was a good enough justice to not want her successor to start out under a cloud of doubt, suspicion and acrimony. Therefore, I do not believe she said what is attributed to her.

OTOH, I have little doubt that her granddaughter, not being well versed in the traditions of the court, might mishear something RBG said and report what she thought was said.

Maybe her wish was to live long enough to be replaced by a different president.

But who are any of them to say Trump won’t be reelected, and then Pence in 2024.

She obviously chose to stay on even when she was urged to resign under Obama. She knew the risk of being replaced by a republican president, and she made the decision to stay.

BTW her claim someone like her wouldn’t have been approved is nonsense - We have 2 other leftist cows on the court.

She showed up for work the day after her husband's death. 56 years married and wouldn't take a day off. That's the kind of person who would say something like that on her deathbed.

Trump needs to nominate this week and Mitch needs to call a vote the same day and put this behind us.

Like moving the capitol of Israel to Jerusalem took that off the table for the Mid East Peace process. These people are stupid and will move on to the next outrage.

Not that it means anything, but she could’ve easily had someone record her allegedly fervent wish which just happens to be polar-opposite of what was on video previously.
