Then again, perhaps he’d love to pull the same stunt that McCain pulled on 0bamaCare

Romney is so bitter he's blind. Must be horrible to be a multi-millionaire and be so miserable.

“ Murkowski & Collins have already said they won’t vote yes ... BUT Mitch might be able to talk them into just abstaining, so they can keep their promise.”
**************

Yeh, big difference in voting present and voting no.

Manchin will vote against. All rats will vote against. The real losers include Murkowki, who has said she will not vote before the election along with Romney, maybe Gardner.

Gardner could do what he might regard as a hail mary pass and support the nominee and maybe retain his seat.

Still think its bad strategy to hurry this nomination. Put it off until 2021 and make this election about the nomination. That will recharge evangelical voters to reconsider sitting aside this election.

grassley has already said he’s a go for confirmation ASAP ...

if Gardner votes no, he stands zero chance of winning (he would lose in a landslide), regardless of his chances if he votes yes ...

rommney has been circumspect in not making any announcements one way or the other ...

Grass key is on board. Romney appears to be. Gardner is the only question. He has no shot in his election so it’s time for the Republicans to offer him a very nice well paid job at a conservative think tank for being a team player.

Gardner may save his seat, he has said he will support Trump and the nomination.
