“Most places are now gun shop or mail order only as a result.”
One of the things in the dem’s platform is to ban sales of guns, ammo, or anything gun related over the internet or mail!

The Left began stockpiling and arming up right after Trump won. No kidding. Started to see them at the local ranges with shiny new AKs and ARs, and the Leftist boards started talking about arming up and getting training about then. Most of the people buying now are the political middle and centrist left-ish types who didnt see the need before now.

Yup. Right after driving retail sales into non-existence.

Did not know that little horror tidbit. They were using a Mauser though, right?

Hmm. In addition to all those Warsaw pact sardine cans of ammo, maybe it it time to unpack the turret press, powder, primers and cast lead bullets. Back before the pandemic clamped down, I found an online supply of Berdan rifle primers and ordered a bunch. I have years worth of empty 7.62 NATO brass that I couldn't bear to leave on the range (I usually use a brass catcher with semi-autos; I hate chasing brass). All once-fired military brass, mostly Hirtenberger and Radway Green. My winter project will be hydraulic de-capping and case prep; I have several loads worked up on Lake City brass that should work as well in Berdan cases.
Waste not, want not. :-)

That is not a bad price, about twice normal.
Primers are trading at 6 times normal prices.

Any truth to the rumor that it is selling for $5 per round?

Dunno what it costs now. I bought 200 rounds of bullets several years ago and loaded them up. They do a pretty good job on engine blocks. Especially aluminum ones. A shot through the radiator of most any car and so long engine. Still have over 150 of em.

Re: Melted Wax
I think it was Taofledermous who has all kinds of shotgun shell videos who showed how wax can melt depending on the outside temperature. I think the Elmer's glue did fine and left no buildup as it all went out the barrel.

if youll notice nobody showed up for their big takeover of DC on the 17th not a single person showed up and then on social media they tried to claim big meanie conservatives were threatening them which is laughableThe way they've been going at it, I figured they would actually follow through on the 50-day-siege of Lafayette Park, to put it more accurately, since SS would keep them out of the WH. But maybe Mayor Year Zero Bowser decided she didn't want to deal with all that and made it known.

A bunch.
That would be my first “go to”. Save the medium and short range stuff if any of them are foolish enough to continue to advance.
