Justice Ginsburg's Death Raises the Election Stakes
Front Page Magazine ^ | Daniel Greenfield | Fri Sep 18, 2020

Anyone who thought that the election stakes had gotten as high as they were ever going to has been surprised over and over again.

This year has been one long shock and awe campaign with wild cards being drawn from the deck.

Justice Ginsburg's death wasn't entirely surprising, she had a long series of medical issues at an advanced age, but her death raises the stakes of the election again. There will be Senate Republicans who will be tempted to play by the rules. Senator Murkowski has already announced that she won't vote to replace her. As did Senator Collins and Grassley. The first two were expected. The last one less so.

If enough Senate Republicans defect, then this election will come down to the Supreme Court seat for an even more explosive campaign.

But they might want to remember that while Ginsburg was radical for her time, she had lived long enough that, despite the Notorious RBG routine that her admirers were pulling, she had become the voice of common sense compared to the sorts of people whom the Democrats would pick to replace her.

Ginsburg continued to rule well to the Left, but she repeatedly expressed skepticism of radical leftist proposals which is more than Obama nominees like Kagan or Sotomayor have ever done. Anyone the Dems would nominate, (not fake nominate like Merrick Garland), will be further to the Left than Kagan or Sotomayor.

And will pull America further to the Left.

President Trump recently released a list of potential court nominees. It is a good list. After the Gorsuch disaster, a Ginsburg replacement needs to be bulletproof. A constitutional conservative with integrity and solid principles, rather than another insider who has spent their entire career building up to this moment.

Three senators can defect and Trump still wins because that means that Pence breaks the tie.

The reality is that the dems have only themselves to blame. Had RGB retired when jug ears was preezy, her replacement would have been a lefty and this drama would have been avoided. They deserve every bite of the fecal sammich they now must take.

Why aren’t there raucous protests at Nancy Pelosi’s and Chuck Schumer’s homes? They aren’t calling for the left to knock it off so it’s our patriotic duty to take it to their homes and neighborhoods.

Here we go again with the narcissistic S. Collins and L. Murkowski (where’s Mittens?) saying “Look at me, over here, I’m important. I can throw a monkey wrench into the gears of America to sink Trump. “

While we bite our nails over Collins with Kavanaugh (yay, she didn’t destroy him) on every budget and key vote.

Don’t throw rocks at me but we all said in the 1980s to now “Gee, if we could only get more women to run for office as GOP. If only.”

Why be a Republican if all you do is kowtow to Democrats?

Until that kind of thing happens, the conservative side will be totally ignored. A debating society. Once sending a letter to the newspapers but now a tweet or a post in a forum. While the Left is destroying 240 years of American history to turn the country to Marxism.

The Right?

As Blofeld said once in James Bond “The superpowers prancing about like so many impotent beach boys.” Big talk and never together on any action. Just one active hero, Trump, but otherwise just talk.

Tough love. Sorry. But it’s not forever. We’ve had enough.

RBG smugly assumed she could cling to power under Obama until Hillary won & appointed her successor. She was wrong.

So she bitterly clung to life hoping to outlast Trump’s term in office. That didn’t work, either.

Now Democrats are foaming at the mouth while PDJT has the greatest opportunity of his Presidency to save this nation.

The rest of us should look to our arms. BLM/Antifa hates us and wants us dead. We should govern ourselves according to the second half of Patton’s famous quote about dying for one’s country, if you get my drift.

There is something wrong with Grassley. The Republic is at state and he is trying to play by Roberts Rules of order. He needs to step down

The Republicans have 2 simple choices. Be smart or be stupid! History shows Republicans are typically galactically stupid!

these loons better understand that they’re going to be in real trouble if they do this to a US senator. Remember the loser who worked for who was it? Maxine Waters? they doxed the homes of the R senators who were voting for Kavanaugh and get five years in federal prison and lost their clearance.

Of course both Collins and Murkowski were in favor of giving Garland a hearing... (Murkowski later changed her tune)
