Republican Maine Sen. Susan Collins is down five points to her Democratic challenger Sara Gideon, a poll released Friday shows.
According to a New York Times-Siena College poll, Collins is behind Gideon 44 percent to 49 percent with less than two months before the November 3 elections. The poll did however show that 50 percent of voters view Collins very favorable or somewhat favorable compared to 47 percent who did not feel the same, The Hill reported.

Collins is unreliable. Period. If you can’t trust the guy next to you in the trench to fight the enemy, then you can’t trust them, period.
How bad is her opponent? She has a “D” beside her name, so that bad. She will vote with Pelosi, the squad, Schumer, etc 100%. Take it to the bank.
Any moderate kabuki a democrat puts on in a campaign is immediately jettisoned the day after they win.
I had a 38 once. In MACVSOG I was given a Belgium Browning 9mm. Look at the momentum of a 45 vs a 38. If I recall basic physics it is mass x velocity=s momentum in foot lbs? I am not that sharp these days. I suspect a 45 is 2X of a 38.

She will be defeated in a landslide if she doesn't support the Supreme Court nominee. Every republican in the state will refuse to vote for her. It's a really stupid move on her part to not support this, it'll guarantee her defeat.

She needs to immediately retract her "threat" and back Trump on SC and everything else-Otherwise she's toast.

Since I’m not as matured in politics as much as I hope to be someday I know my opinion doesn’t mean much as some here...so fwiw I want to say that my gut tells me that democrats will see their defeat in places they thought impossible. I so want California to go red and I know that there are huge numbers of disillusioned voters in that state as there are in other historically dem states.
If Collins loses its a good chance we lose the Senate and say hello to majority leader Schumer. And even if Trump wins he without the senate he would be a lame duck presdident. No more judges, Schumer would make sure they don’t even get out of committee

I believe this was the fatal flaw behind Reagans “Big Tent” strategy. When you get a bunch of democrats enlisted to your cause you get what you ask for. “why did you bite me?” asked the foolish woman “after i cared and nurtured you back to health.”, “because i’m a snake” replied the snake “thats what we do!”. It became “the UNIPARTY” with people like McCain who were profiting from being ‘maverick’ and ‘independent’. In other words, reliable democrats.
I have a California phone number and live in Georgia. I get calls and text wanting my support for the Democrats running in North Carolina. The text wasn’t addressed to me. I block the numbers. Once I got a call from an idiot in North Carolina and I told him what I think of democrats.
