Just because youre not seeing as many headline stories about the chaos in downtown Minneapolis these days doesnt mean that conditions on the ground have returned to normal. While the size of the riots and demonstrations may have abated a bit, residents and business owners there are still dealing with a
new normal thats anything but normal. Crime is up across the board, including both property crime and violent crimes against persons. Many residents have already described the situation as being akin to living in a war zone. This is particularly true of the citys 3rd Precinct, where robberies and assaults continue to plague the people who live and work there
Theres no long-term plan, and reinforcements arent coming anytime soon.
Thats what the head of the Minneapolis Police Departments 3rd Precinct said in an email to a business owner who shared that his employees are scared to go to work.
This is the response that Craig Paulson received from Inspector Sean McGinty:
As far as a long-term plan I dont have one. I have lost 30% of my street officers since the end of May. Budget cuts from COVID-19 and an additional 1.5 million from the council in August we have let go 17 CSOs and canceled a recruit class of 29.
A potential Cadet class slated for January of 2021 was also eliminated. It takes about a year to get a police Officer onto the streets with hiring, backgrounds and field training so reinforcements arent coming anytime soon. We are doing everything we can with what we have. I hate to see great businesses like yours and the rest of your corridor being victimized and feeling unsafe. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Looks like more votes for TRUMP?????
Like portland, Chicago and New York, Minneapolis is a failed and lawless city.
The only options are to leave or kill
And in those cities, if you kill looters/rioters in/at your business - if you have a family, you might as well make the next shot to your own head because otherwise your and their lives will basically be ruined and over anyway.
YOU Voted for the Political Class that controls the Police and is responsible for Law, Order and Public Safety. Our hands are tied, Have a Nice Day
Enjoy It, Suck it up, you earned it with your voting habits
Yep. It’s flight or fight time.
My guess most will choose the easier of the two. Flight, while they still can.
They voted for it that entire state is pretty much all borderline communist officials now live with the consequences
Flight actually is the more damaging to the area, believe it or not.
You voted for this, Minneapolis, now change your voting habits or live with it.
There will be no red states in ten years.....
And yet, taxes are probably not going down anytime soon.
Not in Minniemousapolis.
“Flight actually is the more damaging to the area, believe it or not.”
Of course, but the fleeing people couldn’t care less. It’s survival time.
Because the marxists want private business destroyed so that all the means of production will be in the hands of the government.
Expect no help. They want you out of business. Why they encouraged the rioters to destroy businesses.

And if they were honest, the statement would continue on.......
.........”BUT DO NOT take matters into your own hands and defend yourselves or your businesses, or we will be out there in a flash to arrest you per orders of the governor”-
At last, someone who understands the plan.
Seems like the only alternative left for business owners to make a living these days, is to shut down, and begin robbing other businesses themselves- apparently that’s legal now- but defending your own business from looters is not legal
I found a Lib forum in MPLS to see what they are saying. They haven’t learned anything and they are not changing.
But defend your business with a firearm and 30 squad cars will be there within minutes to arrest the business owner.
