This is an institutional, party vote.
POTUS just has to nominate somebody from “the list”.
Romney will vote yes.

The GOP should ram this through the Senate the same way the Democrats treated the impeachment debacle in the House. 48 hours, only GOP witnesses, and gold SCOTUS Confirmation pens for all.
Make a very public spectacle of it, too.

All — either you’re too fast for me, or I”m too slow. :-)
I thought my post would show up right below R. Kangel’s suggestion that we pray and ask God for guidance. Anyhow, Kangel, I agree.

Anyone, Republican, who tries to sink this nomination is dead politically .
Who will vote for them ever again? Democrats?

Romney is a unreliable slimeball. Until he actually votes to confirm I don’t believe or trust him. He is an empty suit.

We’ll see what Pierre The WORM actually does.
I think it would just DELIGHTFUL if Cocaine Mitch and the GOP leadership are already quietly whipping the GOP votes in extreme ways. Polite, smiling, calm threats, etc.
To: rfp1234
Actually how about Mitt as a Supreme Court nominee?

I think you’re right.
How can he vote against a conservative woman and explain it back home?

He’s probably smart enough to know that his political future is FINISHED if he goes against Trump’s pick...it’s not a hard thing to understand, even for him.
It’s also worth noting that Romney has been good on judges - and as far as I’m concerned, if we control the courts, the Left CANNOT enslave the country, since the CONSTITUTION will be preserved.
