The Senate and the nation mourn the sudden passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the conclusion of her extraordinary American life.
Justice Ginsburg overcame one personal challenge and professional barrier after another. She climbed from a modest Brooklyn upbringing to a seat on our nations highest court and into the pages of American history. Justice Ginsburg was thoroughly dedicated to the legal profession and to her 27 years of service on the Supreme Court. Her intelligence and determination earned her respect and admiration throughout the legal world, and indeed throughout the entire nation, which now grieves alongside her family, friends, and colleagues.

In the last midterm election before Justice Scalias death in 2016, Americans elected a Republican Senate majority because we pledged to check and balance the last days of a lame-duck presidents second term. We kept our promise. Since the 1880s, no Senate has confirmed an opposite-party presidents Supreme Court nominee in a presidential election year.
By contrast, Americans reelected our majority in 2016 and expanded it in 2018 because we pledged to work with President Trump and support his agenda, particularly his outstanding appointments to the federal judiciary. Once again, we will keep our promise.
President Trumps nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate.

Perfect. Big, fat beautiful pens!
Someone from Tennessee just reminded me about RINO Lamar Alexander who that Tennessean believes could join Murkowski et al, as he is a Never Trumper as well. If this happens, if there are 3 others joining Murkowski, then a vote will be futile. We can lose three and Pence can break that tie. We lose 4 and it’s over.
2020, What a year.
Pressure. Thats the ticket. Fear is the key. Honey badger dont care. His problem is finding a nominee tough enough to stand the crap. Kavanagh was tough enough. We need another hard ass.
Not only that there will be mail vote challenges all across the country which may end up at SCOTUS!!
Hey Lindsey... “Stay tuned”. We might be handing you your ass, if you know what I mean.
I’d say something about libtard heads exploding, except this is a daily thing lately.
One thing it will do it distract from the actual campaign. Would hate that their attempts to steal the election find additional cover.
Collins is in a tough race in Maine, it will be a close call.
53 republicans, 45 democrats, 2 independents. We could lose three with Pence as the tie breaker. Hopefully we gain one independent and one democrat. Will see.
I like it.
Normans would NOT be happy if Mittens voted against a conservative justice regardless of how they feel about Trump SCOTUS is NOT Trump!!
I have a feeling the White House seige that was canceled is back on.
Just nominate an “original intent” textualist in the mold of Clarence Thomas, Alito, and Scalia. Not a believer in a “living” flexible Constitution. That should take of care of the 2nd Amendment and Roe v. Wade. Perhaps a woman would be best, as a woman is being replaced, and any man would have someone accuse them of rape at a high school party.
They could even be personally supportive of some legal abortion, yet have problems with the crazy Roe v Wade decision (like Giuliani). Hopefully Manchin, Murkowski, and Mitt could be supportive of some on Trump’s list.
Haven't you noticed which side John Roberts has been voting with lately? He's a never Trumper that is out to destroy Trump and his presidency, if you ask me. Just like all the rest of the Bush clan.
Great points.
ie. Fear Is The Key. Go ahead burn her down. Right in front of ladies going to vote. Pressure up. See who blinks. If you can call, you can raise.
Roberts is NOT a conservative never has been so the court would still be
5-4 !!!!
