Hes certainly more of a hero than George Floyd or Jacob Blake, although thats a very low bar.

Sounds like a fair spread to me as the teacher allowed all sides of the conflict. I bet the author think George Floyd is a hero too

Well, why not? Isn’t turnabout fair play? We’ve seen so many historical figures unjustly vilified, it’s about time we give a contemporary figure the credit due.

He killed fewer people than the “heroes” my nephew was asked to choose from for an assignment at a Jesuit “catholic” middle school. The list included Margaret Sanger and “Deng Chow Peng”.

I’d be worried about an English teacher that can’t spell. How hard is it to spell X?
To: lowbridge
he is a hero... he whacked two commies and permanently disabled another. That’s a true american hero.

I would write the hell out of an essay supporting him.

The title of the article reveals the bias. Since Kyle was only one option.
Obviously, the teacher was trying to get the students to write an essay that was convincing and in need of strong supporting argument.
One would think that his own kind, the teacher, would have colleagues of an intellectual enough level to understand that. But then again, we know the lack of quality in education from k-12 and higher.
