A rowdy group of anti-maskers marched through a Target in Florida and shouted at other shoppers to “Take off that mask,” viral video shows.
Footage on Twitter Tuesday showed the crowd parading around the aisles of the store — located in Ft. Lauderdale, according to HuffPost — and disregarding the store’s face mask requirement as one of them exclaims, “We’re not going to take it anymore!”
“Anti-maskers in Florida invade a Target,” wrote a user who shared the video, which has received more than 6.6 million views as of Wednesday afternoon.
Another video posted to YouTube showed the same group singing and dancing to the Twisted Sister song “We’re Not Going to Take It,” as other customers filmed the wild encounter on their phones.
“In celebration of Burn Your Mask Day we decided to spread some freedom dust over the shoppers and employees of Target!” user Chris Nelson wrote in the description of “Maskless Flash Mob at Target!”

In my case, my masks are tied on with long strings in the back. Then I put on my glasses. Then I put on my hat. This would be difficult to do without a mirror. So it's much easier, when I am going out to stores where I know masks are required, to put on my mask at home and drive in my car to the store, rather than put a mask on before entering the store. And I am no Karen. So quit generalizing, flinging insults, and being a jerk.
I have to wear the damned thing for eight to twelve hours a day. I’m sick of it. In the hospital I work in Covid cases are become less and less frequent.

Gov Polis in Colorado recently extended his mask mandate for 30 days. What no one noticed was that it had expired two weeks prior. The citizens are so well trained they just kept wearing the masks.
The majority of the time it gets transmitted in tight quarters between people who know one another. Younger people who are not already ill are basically not at risk. Did you see any oldsters in the video? And the masks have been shown to be completely useless in almost all cases. Depending on the type of face covering, if the mask has an exhalation valve, the fit, and how people fit and wear them... many types of face coverings have been demonstrated to increase the transmission rate.
I don't know that this was the most appropriate or effective method, but I completely support what these people were trying to accomplish. And my impression of you is that that you are an ignorant Karen!

On the “Karen” thing, this describes the origin of the insult. It was conceived by some Millennials in social media. Also, see comment #68.

But forcing objects on my face to restrict my breathing is dangerous. And still illegal.
When myself and my co-workers have had to clean and sanitize after Covid cases we're dressed in PPE from top to bottom. It's restricting, it can be suffocating, hot and sweaty but it has to be done.
I've been exposed to Covid. I have had to have everything done from having had my temperature taken twice a day for two weeks(all reading were normal). I've had to have a very painful nose swab and tested ‘’positive, asymptomatic’’ and had to sit at home for two weeks.
And always this damned mask! I'm fed up! ENOUGH!!
Not much longer. Some red states are already free. AZ is not yet.... but getting closer. Nov 5 is my guess for several red states
The first blue states will drop maskin gradually 60 days after the innoculations become available.... my best guess.
Never before, in all the history of world, have healthy people been forced to give up their civil rights. If I were sick, I would stay home; if I were sick with something very contagious and very fatal, and I refused to stay home, then society should enforce a quarantine for me. YOU, and much of our govt, do not have the right to force healthy me to cover my healthy face. Wear your mask if you like, it won’t do any good, or stay home if you’re so scared. What right do you have to tell healthy people to stay home or not shop at their favorite stores because you are a germaphobe and you want to enjoy your civil rights while you take away mine. YOU stay home. Stop violating my civil rights. Why are you on this forum anyway? Clearly you do not believe in the bill of rights.

Go right ahead and say what you say. I’m voting for President Trump but won’t vote for the other Republicans who blindly accepted the fear-mongering and went along with the crowd. They care about sports and business being able to operate, but not about the individual’s Constitutional rights.
