Perhaps masks are SPREADING the virus....shop early/late to avoid mask wearers.
Even with longtime airborne contagion, I get the impression that a surface could give a higher likelihood of contagion and be more concentrated.
If you wore a mask like most people do in a real chemical hazard environment, you would already poisoned or even dead.
