Has Ohio’s statewide mask mandate affected the coronavirus case counts in counties? Data show 40 percent of counties saw a net increase during a 21-day period, despite claims by Gov. Mike DeWine and the CDC.

The Ohio Star examined the state health department’s historic case counts. The summary data is available in a CSV file from a link on the Ohio Department of Health’s coronavirus dashboard here.

The statewide mask mandate took effect July 23. The Star looked at July 1-22, then used the 23rd as a baseline and added 15 days to allow for the masks to begin working. We compared the same number of days from Aug. 6-27.

The Star recently applied a similar analysis to Summit County’s virus count vs. the mask mandate. That story is available here. That data, which included the county health department’s information, showed cases increased.

Yet, there were 909 cases, an increase of 14 percent. He pointed out there was an increase on August 21....

FTA regarding a tweet put out by DeWine on 7.22:

DeWine embedded a quote from Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: “If all of us would put on a face covering now for the next four weeks, six weeks, we could drive this epidemic to the ground.”

Fun to watch Fauci and journ-0-lists only wear a mask when the TV cameras are on — then immediately remove the mask - when they think the cameras are turned off..

So the *State* went from 36 cases a day to 41? With the population of Ohio, that’s trivial.

Testing uncovers active infections. Testing also results in more false positives, according to the Journal of The American Medical Association – PCR tests are so sensitive they can pick up positive results for up to three months, well beyond infectiousness.

It just can’t be said often enough.

Testing symptomless people is useless. People without symptoms are highly unlikely to be contagious.

The only statistics that are useful are hospitalizations and deaths.

Anything else is window dressing for despots.

When Dr. Fauci spoke so assertively against universal mask-wearing early on in the epidemic, it was clearly based on this knowledge. “There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask,” infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci told “60 Minutes” on March 8. He went on to explain that masks can only block large droplets, they give a false sense of security, and they cause people to get more germs on their hands by fiddling with it. Those facts don’t change with time.

“Several weeks later, Surgeon General Jerome Adams punctuated this point about the counterproductivity of wearing masks in public. Appearing on “Fox & Friends” on March 31, Adams said that based on a study that shows medical students who wear masks touch their faces 23 times more often, one has to assume that “wearing a mask improperly can actually increase your risk of getting disease.”

Ever since then, we have all seen how people leave masks in their pockets or cars for days and continuously put it on and off as needed without washing their hands. It’s inconceivable that this is not serving as a bacteria trap, if not downright helping spread the virus on our hands.”

909 “cases”, meaning the PCR test found an undetermined quantity of coronal DNA,a positive “hit”. (which is worthless information, a trick used by big pharma)

Yah, it’s like you feel fine, go to the store with a schnoz full of covid that isn’t making you sick but will infect people less than six feet away? And even if you did carrybthe virus, it would pass right over around and through any kind of face diaper.

Gotta love how stupid people wear them while alone - who are they protecting then? Themselves from themselves?

9 people are ok, but 10 and you’ll all die.

Ridiculous. Nothing but a test of forced compliance with gov’t mandares to see how many are sheep.

Practice run for:

1) The almighty, all-powerful, all benevolent vaccine.

2) The CHIP.

Cases, not hospitalizations and not deaths. Protect the vulnerable and get on with our lives. This covid thi g is ridiculous already. Two acronyms I never want to hear again are BLM and COVID.

Just imagine how bad it would be if we hadn’t forced people to wear masks. We saved thousands! /sarc off/

“Masking is wonderful!” is idiocy, but so is this article.
Didn’t a few colleges open up in Summit County?

I remember that. He was very assertive and confident in that speech.

IMHO, many of the stupid mask mandates, one way isles, came about because Karens got scared and started thinking of ways to make them feel safe and Dem Govs took the ball and ran with it for votes.

Nah, other info is useful to scientists.

But the media does turn that info into garbage, or- as you said.

Months ago, COVID-19 death rates were the main concern.

But since global statistics show that Trump policy has been winning the war against virus death rate, the “Orange Man Bad” media moved the goal posts to emphasize instead the rising number of COVID-19 cases here and there.

But also consider that rising number of cases are partly a consequence of social distancing-ignoring “Orange Man Bad” George Floyd rioters, and whatever else anti-Trump rioters have been told to get angry about.

More noteworthy about the numbers seemingly showing that the virus still spreading is, as Trump pointed out a month or two ago, more and more people were / are being tested for COVID-19 every day.

To further fight COVID-19 and the flu, artificial lighting urbanites might consider taking vitamins D3 and C supplements every day in my non-medical opinion.

Send “Orange Man Bad” federal and state government desperate Democrats home in November!

Supporting PDJT with a new patriot Congress and state government leaders that will promise to fully support his already excellent work for MAGA and stopping SARS-CoV-2 will effectively give fast-working Trump a “third term” in office imo.

I don’t see any problem with voting Republican ticket for 2020 elections.

Insights welcome.
