AUSTIN, Texas Chick-fil-A said Monday that it no longer plans to open a restaurant in the San Antonio airport, even though the Texas city relented after more than a year of legal wrangling that began when some city leaders opposed the fast-food chain getting a spot, citing donations made by company owners to anti-LGBTQ causes.
We are always evaluating potential new locations in the hopes of serving existing and new customers great food with remarkable service. Chick-fil-A said in a statement. While we are not pursuing a location in the San Antonio airport at this time, we are grateful for the opportunity to serve San Antonians in our 32 existing restaurants.
Some San Antonio City Council members blocked the chain from opening a restaurant at the San Antonio International Airport, saying they objected because Chick-fil-A's owners have donated to anti-LGBTQ causes for years.

CFA has friendly, professional and clean service. Their chicken patties are a little bit better than their competitors. Not all that much better elsewhere in fast food quality and slightly higher prices.
I went once to them just after they had opened their first place in Toronto. Long line ups then and a small protest from usual alphabetized suspects. My general impression was they had fine fare for a fast food place but were also a little more expensive. That said it was still fast food and while I could see why some would rate it above the other fast food places I wouldn’t say it was orders of magnitude above them. I’ll give them this that their cult following has at least some substance beyond the other cult that came and went here Krispy Kreme.
I’ve never eaten at a Chick-fil-A-the nearest one is over 27 miles away-and I don’t eat/like any fast food or processed food-but I don’t picture their food as having a lot of appeal to college kids unless they are REALLY hungry-so I’ll bet no...
Gays are jumping the shark...
You forgot guacamole.
Air travel economics post ChiCom Flu.
CFA is now running a TV commercial with a VERY gay sounding obese black guy. Virtue signalling in on max for them right now.
That’s what I was thinking.....airport traffic not justifying opening a location there.
It wasnt EVEN a decade ago CFA got in trouble for being anti-homo, and the great CFA Day support happened EN MASSE.
It’s scary how quickly these corporations will flip to the dark side.
Chick-fil-A is like all the losers! They caved for money and position. I havent been back.
........ I stopped giving Chick-Fil-A my money when they came out in support of Black Lives Matter. Now if I want Chicken I frequent Raising Cane’s
Look on the bright side. Airports are not such prime locations any more.
2012. I had never been to a Chick-fil-A but I went on that day and also many days afterwards
I even wrote an email of support to Dan Cathey
It became the only place my wife or I would eat fast food
But not anymore once they caved we are done for life just like with target bed bath beyond Kohls Penneys and Macys
nfl too.
No, I don’t even know what it is.
Just because I’m stating that SA is not so pure, doesn’t mean I’m all out loving CFA.
I DO still go to CFA but now, much less than I was even after this scamdemic started.
As stated elsewhere, there is virtually NO institution that has NOT caved to any of these monstrosities. I don’t blame anyone for having to use them occasionally. I’d prefer not but for many it’s just not practical.
ha!
Cooking ain’t rocket science. There are many `copycat chic-fil-a sandwich’ recipes out there.
I would try to copycat KFC chicken but that takes an industrial size pressure cooker.
Same here. Their revenues are probably down from that bone-headed move alone, and then the pandemic.
Sure there’re recipes. But who wants to cook?
“Face it. Other than their peach shakes the food was really not that great.”
The nuggets were ok.
The sandwiches (mine) a look wsys fell apart because the bread was warmed, rewarmed, rerewarmed... who knows maybe it always was “unfresh.”
The chicken pot pie for a buck something was very tasty.
Peach shakes are good too. We have one in town and its hoppin busy so I rarely go...
And given its antics in the SJW arena I probably won’t. Fast food just ain’t a happening thing for me.
Really? Sad.
