New York Mayor Bill de Blasio summarily canceled the annual Macy's Day Parade on Thanksgiving this year, citing coronavirus concerns, but ignores left-wing activists who violate City Hall's own mitigation edicts, Seth Barron, the associate editor at the City Journal, said Monday.
Barron told "Tucker Carlson Tonight" that de Blasio, a Brooklyn Democrat, is being "feckless" and trying to crush anything that brings his constituents joy or a sense of normalcy.
De Blasio, instead, championed the planned "virtual" parade.

He’s cancelling Thanksgiving, not just the parade. Obviously Halloween is gone and Christmas is on the way out.
We need to buy Wilhelm a torch so he can just burn his city down. His method is slower, but to the same effect. I am sure his mother would be proud of her depraved joke of a son.

If BLM can take over the streets, why can’t Gothamites just grow a pair and hold their own damn parade. Make their own floats, use their kids’ matching bands, invite their own acts.

This morning the local fake news was reporting that the parade would be held, but that all the entertainment would be pre-recorded and that no school bands would be there. I this a new development?
Even the most Conservative Irish pro-cop saloon owners in Queens don’t have the guts to defy DeBlasio.... New York City small business owners have been browbeaten for years into being terrified of fines and injunctions....not only that, even if every restaurant and bar owner in New York decided to allow customers inside, most patrons would be too scared to “go against the grain”..... I ride the subways without a mask.... I’m usually the only maskless person on the train car.... nobody says a word to me about it, people look at me like the only reason they’re wearing a mask is because they don’t want to draw attention to themselves, not because they think it’s necessary, and they wished they had my nerve
