The Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association board has switched its endorsements of Democrat candidates to Republican after one Democrat candidate was purportedly caught on video beating a piñata with the likeness of top police union official Bob Kroll.
Brian Peters, who serves as executive director of the police association, expressed concern over DFL caucus’ support of Thompson after he was identified as beating the Kroll effigy.
“The endorsements that we rescinded, my issue was those candidates did not stand up to their leadership and put pressure on and ask why are we supporting a candidate who did this in Hugo,” Peters said.
“If this is the future of the Democratic Party, my organization is going to support elsewhere,” he added.
Peters did not identify which Republicans were endorsed by the police group.
The development comes in the wake of President Donald Trump scoring two high profile endorsements from police unions: The Fraternal Order of Police and the Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York (PBA).

But this is amazing to me. That they endorsed them in the first place seeing the treatment towards law enforcement and the military all across the country. Unbelievable that it took this incident to withdraw support. But at least they did.
What did they expect? It should have been obvious that democrats hate the police and intend to eliminate them so their voters can help themselves to anything they want and kill people.

I coached many of these fine young men in baseball when they were little guys...from patrolmen to local undercover men, to sheriffs to CBP to SS to armed forces. All GREAT kids and GREAT men. I conversed with many of their GREAT parents and family members. (no special forces that I can recall)
HOORAY armed forces. Against all enemies, foreign & DOMESTIC.

Its because at the State level, the Democrats having been buying the police, fireman and teachers votes with local tax dollars for years... and letting the unions run amok with crazy contracts..
Not amazing really, the police and other public unions vote their paychecks till they can’t... the moment the left commies move a toe towards the center, the public employee unions will be back under the Demoncrats umbrella.

Why? Union officials all over the country, Cops included, are part of the Democratic Machine. Doesn’t matter whats good for the rank and file members.

Politics and money. Unions will endorse anyone in position to help the union (bosses).
The Democrats however stepped over a line that even corrupt union bosses could not tolerate (de-funding the police).
This had nothing to do with the effigy, that was just the excuse they needed.
After thinking about it, yes it is an obvious truth. Unions were always under this party’s control. Coming back to bite them in this case.
Hope that’s the case. I suspect that scores of individual law enforcement across country will just vote accordingly.
BLM and the entire left wants to eradicate the police and create anarchy. Our heroes from 9/11 are now being demonized. No democrat supports law enfprcement. None.
When you see what Democrats stand for and support you have to be insane to vote for them.
