But this is amazing to me. That they endorsed them in the first place seeing the treatment towards law enforcement and the military all across the country. Unbelievable that it took this incident to withdraw support. But at least they did.

Its because at the State level, the Democrats having been buying the police, fireman and teachers votes with local tax dollars for years... and letting the unions run amok with crazy contracts..

Not amazing really, the police and other public unions vote their paychecks till they can’t... the moment the left commies move a toe towards the center, the public employee unions will be back under the Demoncrats umbrella.

Why? Union officials all over the country, Cops included, are part of the Democratic Machine. Doesn’t matter whats good for the rank and file members.

Politics and money. Unions will endorse anyone in position to help the union (bosses).

The Democrats however stepped over a line that even corrupt union bosses could not tolerate (de-funding the police).

This had nothing to do with the effigy, that was just the excuse they needed.
