Marijuana is still illegal in most states - a major market for unlicensed grow-ops.

Legal MJ in CA is so costly and over-regulated it is just about as easy to buy the illegal stuff.

The liberaltarians used to say ‘legalize and tax the hell out of it’ and now it’s more like ‘make it as cheap as possible. If it feels good do it is about all they have now.

Um, of course not - not that this has any clear relevance to the article.

Sure - before legalization, CA itself was a major market for unlicensed CA weed.

If they said ‘tax the hell out of it’ they weren't libertarians.

I smoked and inhaled 50 years ago, but never stayed with it. Just not my thing, legal or not. I can’t imagine there being a positive to legalizing it.

The positive is diverting dollars away from criminal hands.

Who wants to pay $80/quarter oz for $30 worth of weed? The hard-up?

Even if it’s great stuff...which mostly removes the chance of getting burned buying cheap pot from Dealer McDope down on Trashberry Street.

Luck of the draw, if you like to gamble.
