the black man, who Hamideh believed to be mentally ill, is seen walking towards the white soldier and lunging toward him. As the two men make contact, the soldier punches him hard to the side of his face.
The soldier then forces him to the ground and sits down on his chest, yelling for someone to ‘call the police’.
Dozens of bystanders immediately race towards the scene of the scuffle, urging the soldier to ‘stop'.
The man is seen squirming under the weight of the soldier as he attempts to free himself and screaming out for the soldier to ‘get the f*** off of me.’
As more bystanders flocked to the scene, one is heard angrily asking the soldier whether he is a ‘white supremacist, or something’.
A second bystander, dressed in a red t-shirt, interjects: ‘This isn’t about race. Don’t make it about race.’ He continues by telling bystanders they don’t know the full story, and the man being pinned down had been causing problems earlier in the area, and police were called.

Hamideh said the incident between the black man and the white man in military fatigues was sparked when the man spat on the soldier’s car. The pair then exchanged words, with the man making disparaging remarks about the military to the soldier, before calling him a ‘p****’.

Video shows the bystander in the red t-shirt urging others to step back and give the soldier space. ‘You do not know what’s been happening all day. At least understand the facts before you open your mouth. You have no business here, back away,’ he says.
A woman then races over and begins berating the soldier, describing how she had seen him run over to the black man and ‘pummel him – for no reason’.

I think the conversation should have gone like this:
STAFF SERGEANT: "Have you had enough, you pussified, racist soy boy?"
SKATEBOARD THUG: "YES STAFF SERGEANT SIR!"

Appears to be a man, but has a skateboard, a scooby doo backpack, and a head full of Leftist tripe like millions of other fully grown, Leftist, racist Americans who hate white people like the soldier just because he is white.

Bad connection but I did manage to catch the black woman in white who calmed walked over to the skell, leaned over and said, “(something) that’s what happens. I don’t feel bad for you at all.” she turns and slowly walks away working her phone.
Was the racist assailant (black boy) arrested?
I don’t know if he used the skate board to attack him (battery) but verbal assault enough constitutes ‘assault’ which can get him arrested (via citizens arrest) not only by the sergeant but by any onlooker that saw the altercation..
Not to mention being a racist hate crime. (but I don’t know the specific code to press charges on that)
Too bad citizen’s arrest is not used more often.
I'll bet the conversation went something like this:
GUY IN WHEELCHAIR: You get off of him, white boy, or I'm going to brain you with this bat.
STAFF SARGEANT: You come an inch closer with that bat, and wheelchair or no, you are going to find out how it feels when a baseball bat gets stuck up your ass.
Don’t mess with a soldier.

His next reply would be, “don’t call me sir, I work for a living!”

It’s a boot camp thing I would think...:)
That soldier is not *sitting on his chest*.
If you look, only his left leg is in a position to be sitting. The right leg cannot be seen, which tells me he was kneeling on it and THAT is what was supporting his weight.
He kept just enough on the guy to keep him down until the police arrived.
I noticed that while many people were mouthing off to the soldier, no one tried touching him.
They know better. The guy already showed he wasn’t taking any crap.
The soldier utilized Option 1 in my tagline.

In the video, at about the 12-13 second mark, you can see the soldier deliberately and slowly get into position and he is on one knee, his right knee that is not showing from the angle the video is being shot from.
