As has been said many times, who cares? I won’t watch.
When Brees changed his mind and took the knee with his teammates, I’m guessing he wasn’t certain whether more would be asked of him. Well, I guess more has been asked, and he has complied. He should have resigned from the get.
The moral of the story: stand up to Wokey McWokerson, even though it might cost you a great deal. If you can marshal your resources, go public, and maybe even retain a lawyer, it may turn out to be Weakey McWeakerson.

I used to respect Drew. This dumbf*ck had to open his mouth and then had no balls to stand his ground. His wife is a turd just like him. It’s clearly about the paycheck. He has zero credibility forever. Guess what Drew? You f*cked up bigly.
Because he bent the knee to his radical teammates so he could pursue another Super Bowl in a quest for personal glory. He shredded his reputation and integrity for that, as well as his dignity. Such a man who has publicly abandoned his principles would wear the name of a convicted pedophile on his helmet of that's what it took, such is his vanity.

After Brees apologized profusely for merely saying he would never “kneel and disrespect the flag”, some of his team mates said that “wasn’t enough”. So now we see Brees is forced to jump through hoops and fully embrace things he is fundamentally opposed to, just to keep his job and avoid being “cancelled”. Standing by his values might have cost him his QB job and his future as a sports broadcaster, but at least he would still have his self respect.
Now if he had put Officer David Dorn’s name on his helmet, I might still have a little respect for him...
