A judge in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia ruled yesterday that Customs and Border Protection agents were not qualified to perform screenings for asylum applicants arriving at the U.S. and Mexico border. While this may not have a lot of impact in the short term, it could end up reversing some of the White Houses initiatives in controlling migration once the traffic across the border returns to normal...
The Trump administration argued that designated CBP employees are trained comparably to asylum officers at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, another agency within the Homeland Security Department. U.S. District Judge Richard J. Leon in Washington disagreed.

I guess they could use a remote video link, like Zoom, to get an approved person on line for the screening, until the equivalent training can be arranged for CBP personnel.
Or just appeal the decision.

Not only does Trump need to replace D judges, but also a fair few Bush appointees (HW and W). Lots of termites eating away at our freedom.

Unfortunately he can only do that when they step down. Obama judges are all pretty young so were stuvk for decades on those.
