CLACKAMAS, Ore. – The sheriffs of Clackamas and Washington County say they will not send staff to help with protests in Portland after Oregon Governor Kate Brown unveiled a plan to address the violence at protests....

Clackamas Co. Sheriff Craig Roberts said the governor didn’t approach his office before rolling out the plan, intended to address the violence and arson while also protecting free speech.

“Increasing law enforcement resources in Portland will not solve the nightly violence and now, murder,” the sheriff said. “The only way to make Portland safe again, is to support a policy that holds offenders accountable for their destruction and violence.”

I think it was less than a year ago all the surrounding police/sheriff departments discontinued mutual assistance agreements with Portland. Portland wasn’t going to grant the normal immunities to the helping departments.

When the head of the state police recently pulled his troopers out of Portland he said he was sending his people back to their communities where law and order is respected. This occurred after the Portland DA let hundreds of arrested rioters free without charges.

The head of the state police has just retired.

Governor Kate Brown has replaced him, with a her.

Portland, Seattle, and the other liberal run cities with riot get what they deserve, as they won’t prosecute the criminals but they prosecute the police.

All law enforcement should stand down and leave the county. Let the voters eat fist sandwiches as their homes are burnt on behalf of a black criminal having died somewhere.
