WHICH black people are we suppose to listen to? In 2001 my New Years Resolution was to read books written by blacks. I read Booker T. Washington, George Washington Carver, Frederick Douglass and Sojourner Truth and Harriet Tubman. My life was enriched. Frederick Douglass said in his Auto Biography, the 1st section was slavery and the 2nd Descrimination. He detailed that to end slavery they needed the help of people with lighter tone skin pigment. But the latter, on descrimination, that the only fixin could be done by people with darker skin needed so show that they could be nice neighbors, that they were responsible families and fathers etc.
In DNA studies, it is common knowledge that drker skin pigment people in the USA share MORE DNA across the nation, that people in African Nations who never left or moved around on their continent. We share more, WHATES with BLACKS with DNA than we realize. My DNA shares show up wiith slaves on plantations... Not proud about this, but our forefathers did unwise things.

Well, I do know about the racism that ones like Jesse Owens and Jackie Robinson stood up against and that their actions were very much opposed by the Democrats at that time.
I am 90 years old and have been listening to black’s all my life. And I must also say, I have seen blacks become fully integrated into every aspect of American society including taking important leadership roles. They have done extremely well and should be proud of the accomplishments they have made. Why all the silence?

Further I certainly don't need to be educated about what racism is by black people after decades of them using it as an excuse for the state and condition of their culture. No other group has been given opportunities, revenue, programs and helps more than the black community......but it is not those in the streets today who utilize these. Rather they just want more of more they're unwilling to work for.
This is probably rhetorical by now, but why is Black capitalized in the title, while white is not? I believe neither should be.

I don’t listen to “black people”, “white people” or any other “group” of people. I listen to individuals, but since there are seven billion of them, the quality and relevance of their words need to justify me listening to them rather than someone else.
There are only so many days, hours and years in my life. My primary focus is listening to and valuing the people I know personally. And yeah, some of ‘em are black, or white, or Arab, or Asian, or Indian (dot on forehead) or Indian (feather in band).
Etc.
So in other words, the Seahawks will be distracted from football by race issues ... so we can expect another losing season
