In a new article for “The Atlantic” former ESPN host Jemele Hill argues that “Black players should leverage their talent to promote change at every possible opportunity.”
Posting her piece on Twitter, Hill posted the question “Why should a country that doesn’t value black lives get to be entertained by black athletes?”
Hill’s question garnered a variety of answers.
One Twitter user replied “Because by doing so they lose their platform”
Another replied “Hopefully the rapid decline of interests continues. Reality, fans are walking away from a game, life long passion they used to support. Get woke.”
Another wrote “They should totally cancel the season. Otherwise this is just a rain delay and no one will care. C’mon NBA, cancel the season!”

Then why should they be allowed to collect an insanely inflated salary? No sports, no salaries, no scholarships.
Coincidentally, I cancelled my MLB subscription not five minutes before seeing this post. MLB was the only sports I watched and now that one is gone.

When Black people get more traffic tickets than white people, it is statistical proof of discrimination against Black people and systemic racism. Isn’t the huge over-representation of Black people in professional athletic competition proof of white exploitation and systemic reason?
This is another reason why Jemele is right and proud Black athletes should just step away from playing fields everywhere.
Rand was right, millions of Americans are "going Galt" on professional sports. Dallas Stars CEO said publicly they've lost season ticket holders over BLM.
I know I didn’t specifically ask to be entertained by black people. That would be....racist.
Maybe they can go work in truly progressive places like Venezuela or Cuba. They will then be free of the oppressive U.S. wages - they will finally experience true income equality.
I agree. Cancel all College and Professional sports.
