In a new article for “The Atlantic” former ESPN host Jemele Hill argues that “Black players should leverage their talent to promote change at every possible opportunity.”
Posting her piece on Twitter, Hill posted the question “Why should a country that doesn’t value black lives get to be entertained by black athletes?”
Hill’s question garnered a variety of answers.
One Twitter user replied “Because by doing so they lose their platform”
Another replied “Hopefully the rapid decline of interests continues. Reality, fans are walking away from a game, life long passion they used to support. Get woke.”
Another wrote “They should totally cancel the season. Otherwise this is just a rain delay and no one will care. C’mon NBA, cancel the season!”

I agree with Jemele. If I never watch a professional black athlete play sports again,that will be perfectly fine with me.
Black athletes work in other countries also. For less pay.

I’ve quit watching all professional sports, NASCAR, Baseball, will not watch the NFL this year. Good riddance, will not miss them one bit.
She is right! We shouldn’t be entertained by a bunch of black athletes. Let’s all stop watching, supporting buying or looking at black athletes. Black athletes should disappear from the public sight, just like Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben. Get rid of all representations, art or anything else from blacks. Totally segregate them from the public concourse!!!

My answer to Ms Hill is (a) because she is totally wrong about everything, as are many NBA players, but (b) if her wrong headed notion is the prevailing notion in the NBA, then why should the NBA’s mostly white audience watch NBA games and continue to justify the ticket & advertising revenue that pays for everything in the NBA.
Jemele is right. All black athletes should forever boycott.
I’m not “entertained” by the BLM backers . I have no desire to watch them anymore.
Yeah, I wouldn’t entertain for millions either.
