Competing rallies between supporters of Black lives and pro-police, pro-Trump crowds raised tensions across Oregon Saturday. A person was shot in downtown Portland during a pro-Trump caravan through the city Saturday night, according to multiple reports from journalists on social media.
Videos of the scene from Southwest 3rd Avenue and Alder Street show medics attending to a victim on the ground. No further details were immediately available.

The video person must have noticed something hinky going on with the shooter beforehand to focus in on him like that. And when the shooter is looking their way they put the phone down perhaps to avoid detection? Or trying to shoot the video with their phone down at their side and can’t aim?

I think this is disgusting.
But is it too different than those celebrating Kyle’s shootings last week.
There are some double standards in play here as well.
I think that people shooting each other on the streets is a line we really do not want to cross. Once that starts in earnest, we are not coming back.
So, we should ALL be careful about our enthusiasm for gunplay.

We are in a civil war, cowards will make any excuse to cower. When the time comes for battles not little street skirmishes which are happening right now patriots are going to have to get wet. This phase is coming and as unavoidable as the sun will rise in the east there’s no going back war is upon us. Advise to everyone who hasn’t served and values their freedoms is to pair up with someone or a small group of people who have served and get the skills and more importantly grow the balls needed to take human life to defend what matters to themselves. Every veteran should make it their personal mission to tutor a civilian patriot and get them unf*cked post haste. Gallows humor is a perfectly acceptable way to deal with taking human life and I speak from years of experience in that field.

That’s not what we are seeing on both sides.
We are seeing Call of Duty morons who are dancing over the graves of idiots who think it’s ok to run around burning stuff down, and shooting at each other.
This could have been solved if the people who have been entrusted with keeping the peace have been allowed to do so.
We are not in a civil war. People who say that don’t understand how civil wars work. We are experiencing—in isolated locations—local insurrections. There is no defined cause. There is no organization. An there is no leadership. There might be some mysterious leadership from somewhere—but there is no single person rallying the opposition.
Inflating these morons beyond that gives them way too much credit.
If the mayors and police chiefs could take minimal action, this would be over this afternoon. One has to ask what these people hope to accomplish by allowing the destruction of their centers of commerce.

I understand quite well how civil wars work I stood boots down in the Sarajevo area in 1998 and again in 1999. I have seen how civil conflict plays out in all its genocidal glory. We are witnessing the beginnings of a communist revolution their troops are already in the streets, and they have zero moral hang ups about burning things down nor shooting their enemies. They are organized and funded at levels which make them not only a very credible threat they also qualify as enemy combatants. They have ranks, organization up to at least the company level, medics, supply lines, and secure comms. Make no mistake anyone who has seen a civl war up close and personal knows exactly what we are seeing. Don’t think that if the cops magically turned sides these people would back down. These are revolutionary types sure some are LARP soyboys but the core of these groups is every bit as dangerous as any guerilla warfare fighter in any of our battlefields in the world.
