You could make the argument that a wedding is a religious ceremony protected by the First Amendment.

If it is a religious ceremony, then God is with them regardless if they have two witnesses or hundreds. I must have missed the part in the Bible where a marriage or baptism is only valid if they pack hundreds of people together in an indoor space. On the other hand, Christ did have quite a bit to say to the Pharisees about attention-seeking behavior, which is what many modern weddings are centered around today.

The simple solution is to hold the election within the next week and the pandemic will be over in a heartbeat! The pandemic will last not that much further than he election as it is a political football being tossed around by both sides of the field. The team that wins the election wins the cure to the pandemic. If Trump wins, Trump cures the pandemic. If Biden wins, well let’s not think about that.

Simple solution to the pandemic,,,,Make HCQ and Azithromycin OTC drugs so anyone who develops a cough and/or fever can go the nearest drug store and self medicate with the drugs along with Zinc Sulfate with correct dosage within 48 hours of symptoms and pandemic over.,,,,,instead of waiting a few days to get tested and 5 days for the results,,,,if over 60 years of age,,,,you’re dead.

They aren't overwhelmed now in a more or less masked population. You cannot extrapolate the status quo to an unmasked population.

The problem with the herd immunity hypothesis is that it requires 90% of the population to be infected for herd immunity to kick in. 90% of the US population multiplied by the current hospitalization rate of 0.1517% gives us 450,549 COVID patients requiring hospitalizations. The US currently has 85,247 ICU beds. Meanwhile people are not going to stop having heart attacks and other problems requiring hospitalization. I'm young and healthy but if I get into a car accident I'd like there to be a hospital bed available for me.

So all in all, I think I'll take a pass on being a guinea pig in this herd immunity experiment the increasingly desperate business community is trying to ram down our throats. Often these are the same "business leaders" who shamelessly hire illegals over Americans anyway.

He’s saying if we get consistent mask usage up to that level the virus will “burn out.”

There has been and only is one way for a virus to burn out. And that is immunity, whether synthetic or natural.

That simply is not true. Especially if we are talking threshold. Sweden hit herd immunity threshold at I believe 14% and a Stockholm study showed 17%.

Each virus is different, but you will be hard pressed to find one that is truly at 90%. How in the world would the virus move at 89%? It would have to carry on the wind for miles and miles to even hope to find a host.

They haven’t developed a vaccine in all these years for common cold, but zinc seems to help. Flu shots have to be up-dated every year and are only partly effective. Dr. Zelenko’s cocktail of hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin and zinc seems to be the best prophylactic so far and makes excellent sense from the cytological point of view. I’m 88, my brother is 91, and my wife is 82 and has a chronic lung infection (Mycobacterium, not TB), We all, at Zelenko’s Internet suggestion that if you can’t get his cocktail, take Quercetin (500 mg) twice a day and zinc sulfate 25 mg once a day as a prophylactic. I have no idea how effective a prophylactic it is. My wife is already taking azithromycin for her lung infection. We wear masks when out in public, but voted in the primary by mail and largely stay at home as much as we can.
