GREENSBORO, N.C. — There's hope that the end could be in sight.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the United States can have coronavirus under control in as little as four to 12 weeks but there's a lot we each need to do.
CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield said it only works if more people start wearing masks, social distancing and washing their hands frequently.
"Our ability to bring this outbreak to its knees, it's in our hands, it's in our grasp but it is gonna require all of us," Redfield said.
Many are doing that in Greensboro with a state mask mandate in effect but some say, not enough.
"I would say out of a ten scale, a five or a six. Seriously," Gracie Maxwell said. The Radford University student visited Greensboro Saturday with friends.
"We really do need to see you know 90, 95 percent, 96 or more," Redfield said of the number of people required to break the virus' grasp.
Redfield remains cautiously optimistic about that a vaccine could come by the end of the year but some aren't convinced.

Simple solution to the pandemic,,,,Make HCQ and Azithromycin OTC drugs so anyone who develops a cough and/or fever can go the nearest drug store and self medicate with the drugs along with Zinc Sulfate with correct dosage within 48 hours of symptoms and pandemic over.,,,,,instead of waiting a few days to get tested and 5 days for the results,,,,if over 60 years of age,,,,you’re dead.

I honestly think this is just something we’re going to have to learn to live with, like the seasonal flu, colds, any other disease. Work on the vaccine, and figure out the best treatment course.
Redfield was fired years ago as head of an Army Lab, for falsifying AIDs studies. He must be one helluva rainmaker at snaggjng grant money to have survived all these years as a govt bureaucrat and even risen to the top of the CDC ( floater?)
When the Army fired him for being an unethical liar, his deputy moved up.

Giving you 12 more weeks to "bring this outbreak to its knees", is in reality, signing on for a lifetime of masks, "social distancing" and OC hand washing.
I'm good with the old fashioned way of achieving immunity.

Those numbers for herd immunity are ludicrous. No virus can move through a population where 90% are immune.

12 weeks will go buy and they’ll move the goalposts once more. “Oops, we misunderestimated again”. They ain’t letting go of their grip on power until we and/or Trump forces that to happen.

Here’s what it means: we’re going to be jerked around forever. Even IF they ever say that COVID has been “beaten”, the masks, social distancing, and forfeiture of our rights and freedom will NEVER, EVER end. They’ll just throw a “new” virus at us, and keep it going.
This is all a scam and a lie. Always has been, and will continue to be as long as the media, the politicians, and the damned Karens keep it up.
IOW the pandemic is ending abruptly. Every citizen needs to redouble their effort to obey our mandates to ensure CDC and Fauci receive full credit.
