RE: Yes, I also have a place out on Long Island. But I will never abandon New York City. Ever.
Yeah, it’s easy for a multi-millionaire to say.
To: yesthatjallen
Sorry, Yerry, but unless you find better, non-Marxist leadership, NYC is dead. It's only a matter of time until Wall Street says "nuts to this" and departs.

Exactly.
But NYC will roar back. Sometime. As long as it’s not nuked.

Maybe donating a few vintage Porsches to the homeless would help.

Jerry can afford to keep a house there. He’s past the wealth barrier. He also structures his money to avoid paying most of their taxes, most likely.

It is an important port city, so it isn’t going to die in an absolute fashion. However, I think it will have a more sedate future

Maybe. The difference between now and in the past is, as was explained in an article right here on FR, that...there is no longer a necessity to go to a city to conduct business. Stock Market is virtual, distribution centers got the heck out years ago...really the only reason to go to the city is for restaurants, museums, and bars. How's that working out?
What I think the reaction to the Kung Flu is doing is spiking the ball after slowly moving inch by inch away from the cities. Kind of like the Cleveland Browns offense. It's taken 100 years of slow progress but the new establishment has been repelled by the wannabe commies!

Hey, Jerry! Can you eat inside like a normal civilized human being? in New York City? No? Then what good is that place?

NYC has been dead to me for decades.
Even Rudy couldn’t generate any interest for me.

Neighbors brother has a restaurant in Queens. He has been told he can fully open up in June 2021!

WS could easily relocate to Sioux Falls, a former [maybe current] Credit Card Center.

Even now Wall Street is an obsolete anachronism.
