NFL puts some teams on hold while looking into COVID-19 tests from New Jersey lab (False Positives)

The NFL is working Sunday morning to assess a series of positive COVID-19 results that have all been traced to the same laboratory in New Jersey, raising concerns about the efficacy of the testing program established to minimize spread of the disease.

"Saturday's daily COVID testing returned several positives tests from each of the clubs serviced by the same laboratory in New Jersey," the NFL said in a statement. "We are working with our testing partner, BioReference, to investigate these results, while the clubs work to confirm or rule out the positive tests."

Purpose of posting was to show the NFL is starting to realize some of the fraudulent testing results:

"The Chicago Bears announced they received nine positive results from their Saturday test regimen. All nine were determined to be false positive results, meaning none were actual indications of infection. The Bears moved back their morning practice to Sunday afternoon "out of an abundance of caution" while they sorted through them."

Well the media is silent on where things stand because the NFL is. They’ve released NOTHING. Other than vaguely not changing the schedule. It’s kind of tough to make news out of nothing.

Cancel the season. That way people will realize there are other things to do rather then watch the NFL Thursday thru Monday. I quit three years ago and after a time I forgot there were games on. What was normal changed and now my days are filled with other stuff. I still watch some sports for fun, just no NFL, NBA and now no MLB or NHL. The only football I have seen in thee years were college bowl games. I have yet to watch Cricket, but I have gained an appreciation for Rugby.

Personally, I would be okay if they didn’t play.

There will be a lot less college football in the fall. I don’t want people to make up for it by watching the NFL.
