Just think, only six Months ago we would have dismissed the crazy stuff going on as a wild fantasy. We would say, this would never happen in America.
Come to think of it, there were those “Peaceful Protests” when Candidate Trump got Elected back in 2016. I don’t recall them being as crazy and Violent as this stuff though.

I actually did read this article and I would dispute not moving.
I understand that if there is just a few people in front of you, you are allowed to idle thru that group. Very slowly, not gunning it but moving forward not to hit but to ‘nudge’. Although this won’t work if you’re ‘nudging’ 300 people. The best course is to u-turn it, but sometimes the circumstances or the people won’t permit it.
It might be a good idea to carry a cardboard sign that says ‘nurse’, ‘hospice worker’ or ‘medical emergency’ in large letters that you can hold up from inside closed windows or put on your dashboard as soon as you’re approached. Act deathly sick. A person with a gun wants to be a hero and is looking for a ‘I shot in self defense’ excuse, but she/he’s not going to want to be photographed going against that narrative with a ‘denied medical access’ story.

Most people here disagree with the writer of the article, but I’m of the opinion that the street mobs have already served notice on every US driver on any US road: they are a direct threat of violence. They mean you harm. Therefore no mob blocking the street I’m driving on (isn’t this against the law?) has the right to expect I won’t do everything in my power to liberate myself from the threat of violence they pose.
The writer referred to how juries might interpret a driver’s action in light of the protesters. What lawyer couldn’t connect those practicing the “Marquez Love” approach to street violence with the folks I happen to run over with my vehicle when I see them lining up in the street to menace me?
Those kind of people have no concern for such things.
If you don’t hesitate, they will get out of the way.

Not good, but I think I’d still have to take my chances that a good lawyer would be able to contextualize any street plowing event in light of what we’ve all seen n our television screens. Onus needs to be shifted where it belongs—the people parading around on an active thoroughfare.
