Steve Bannon joked about We Build The Wall founder Brian Kolfage stealing money from the fund and boasted about the triple amputee veteran's 'million-dollar yacht' in footage

Kolfage, a Purple Heart veteran who lost an arm and two legs in Iraq in 2004, was arrested at his home in Florida and is accused of being the main beneficiary of the scam, allegedly pocketing a staggering $350,000 of donor money while he and his wife flaunted their extravagant lifestyles on social media.

Newly resurfaced footage of the pair taken on June 24, 2019 shows the two men openly laughing and joking about peddling money from the border wall scheme, more than a year before the feds swooped in.

In the video, part of We Build The Wall's 'Wall-A-Thon' fundraiser to draw in donors to the scheme, Bannon boasts that they are on board Kolfage's 'million-dollar yacht' and laughs that the veteran 'took all that money' from the scheme.

'Welcome back and this is Stephen K. Bannon,' Bannon says to the camera, while sitting next to Kolfage.

'We're off the coast of Saint-Tropez in southern France, in the Mediterranean. We're on the million-dollar yacht of Brian Kolfage.'

The two men look at each other and laugh as Bannon pats Kolfage on the shoulder.

'Brian Kolfage - who took all that money from Build The Wall,' Bannon adds, while Kolfage continues to smile at his alleged co-conspirator.

Bannon then says: 'No, we're actually in Sunland Park, New Mexico.'

Social media users were baffled at the footage, which, based on the allegations made against the two men this week, point to an inside joke about the scam that was very much under way at the time.

Gotta love html. One wrong character, and the most important point of the post #55 gets dropped:

The [overall] case is assigned to U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres [partisan Democrat Obama "judge"] in the Southern District of New York.

(Reuters) - A U.S. judge late on Monday ordered all local boards of election in New York state to count “thousands” of absentee ballots received the day after a congressional primary held last June 23 but previously disqualified because of postmark problems. According to the ruling by Judge Analisa Torres of Federal District Court in Manhattan, the absentee ballots are to be counted “without regard to whether such ballots are postmarked by June 23.”

Something that always disappoints me is how disloyal conservatives, including posters at Free Republic, are to anyone that the liberal media or the Deep State attacks. They act like little children mocking a weak child who is being bullied on a playground. The Democrats stick up for each other even when they know they are wrong. This is the main reason why they are so much more successful in advancing their agenda than conservatives are.

Mr. Bannon has done far more to advance conservatism and elect President Trump than all his detractors here put together. His work with Miles Guo to over the Communist Party of China, his efforts to build a wall on the southern boarder, and his unceasing attacks on the Democrats and Joe Biden are something all real conservatives should value and appreciate. Like any American, he should be presumed to be innocent until he is proven guilty.

Steven Bannon is only second to President Trump in the level of liberal hatred focused against him. His detractors here should be ashamed of themselves. Their glee at Mr. Bannon's prosecution is shared with every enemy of our constitution and way of life. They and the Never-Trumpers are peas in the same pod, and our side would be better off without them.

And the SDNY singles out this group. Total political BS.

Certainly, much of the DOJ, the FBI, and in particularly the U.S. Attorney for the SDNY are corrupt and political. These same people refuse to touch Hillary Clinton or any other Democrat crook. Unfortunately, this fact will not help these defendents. The indictment clearly shows that they have considerable evidence that shows that crimes were committed. I suspect that Kolfage was taking advice from Bannon, advice that he should not have taken. He is in big trouble. Of course the corrupt prosecutors don't want Kolfage, they could care less. They want Bannon. He left lots of fingerprints on a significant paper trail. Not good for him.

I don’t believe that. I didn’t even know who Bannon was. Followed Trump since he came down the elevator. Trump won the election. Bannon tooted his own horn.

I've worked on campaigns. They are complicated business. There are many, many complex decisions made and implemented. Donald Trump, who had no experience campaigning, didn't do it all on his own.

No, but it was his personality and policies that were the reasons he won. There are plenty of candidates who look promising at first and falter. Donald Trump won despite his campaign handicaps. Many of the people sent to the convention were Cruz supporters. There was a coup attempted that night. If Trump had not handled that right, it may have succeeded.
The pussy tape was another example. Apologize for it and move on. By the time Bannon came along, Donald had it won.
Bannon’s been blowing his own horn ever sense.

Steve Bannon was appointed chief executive of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign on August 17, 2016, three weeks after the convention and with only 88 days left until the election. Shortly after Bannon was hired, Paul Manafort was dismissed and Kellyanne Conway was hired to replace him as campaign chairman. Donald Trump did NOT ‘have it won’ when these two came on board. They did remarkable work over a very short period of time.

That’s your opinion. His base was there before Steve Bannon came in late and his base stayed with him after Bannon came on board.

If you want to think Trump owes his Presidency to Bannon, go ahead.

Campaigns don’t design and run themselves. Political campaigning is a complicated, highly-specialized business. There are many, many complex decisions to be made and implemented. Donald Trump, who had no campaign experience, didn’t do it all on his own. Many others helped him conceive and run the 2016 post-convention campaign. First among these others was Steve Bannon.
