The United States Postal Service (USPS) has reportedly filed a patent for a blockchain-based mail-in voting system. Following President Donald Trump’s conclusion that mail-in voting would represent ballots all over the place and fraudulent ballots would be named after dogs and dead people, the patent that was filed back in February 2020 was made public on Thursday 13th August.

The public patent application that contains 47 pages is majorly occupied with diagrams showing various components of the proposed mail-in voting system, coupled with each stage of the electronic process.

This could be very interesting...a system that allows you to either, vote in person or vote by mail. Either way it's secure and one person one vote.

So the USPS creates a hypothetically secure voting by mail system a month before a surprise pandemic shuts down the country and has democrats calling for voting by mail. Quite a series of coincidences, eh?

Patent was filed in February, just made public looks like Trump has once again backed the Dems into a corner he had this system planned all along and just waited for them to be SCREAMING about mail in voting before dropping this bomb on them!! They can now hardly complain about the change making mail in voting secure!!

Wait a minute... Pandemic hit in March. But this Patent was filed in February. It’s almost like this whole thing is playing out like a well-planned script.

I was trying to remember when the USPS last enjoyed a reputation as a reliable, competent government agency. This is as close as I could get.

Who devised this plan/patent? Has to be one of the political parties. Was it Trumps idea or what?

The engineers that came up with the patent are listed on the cover page. Engineers file patents all the time. Often world events trigger the creative flow.

A registered voter receives a computer-readable code in the mail

Would that be the voter ID code ending with R or D that everyone can see on our mail-in ballots?

I am sorry, but the postal workers union has endorsed Biden.

They should be prohibited from touching a single ballot.

Would Democrats allow the NRA to count votes in secret?

Partisan groups have no place in our voting system.

Sounds just like the enrollment system for the Affordable Care Act... and it took several weeks to make it work the way it works now...

If it’s s secure as they say, the Dems will decide using the USPS is no longer viable....

And this entire process starts with a problem. A registered voter.

Is that the registered vote who is a cat? Died years ago? Moved out of the area? Registered in multiple states? Illegal alien? Fictitious made up name?

There is no such thing as a valid election that starts with an inaccurate list of voters. Voting in person and producing an id is still more secure than a blockchain. However, even voting in person with and id can still be defeated by fake ids and cheating poll workers.

We need federal legislation outlining a US wide system that applies to all states to use for federal elections. Specifying who can vote, required citizenship documentation, and local precinct residency voter registration verification. Performed by a canvassing residentcy confirmation team. And No provisional, mail in, or same-day ballot issuance permitted. .

A registered voter receives a computer-readable code in the mail”””

First assumption is totally wrong.

Everyone who is eligible to vote in the USA does NOT have a computer.
