August 20Working with God
We are co-workers in Gods service; you are Gods field, Gods building.
1 Corinthians 3:9During his 1962 visit to Mexico, Bill Ashe helped fix windmill hand pumps at an orphanage. Fifteen years later, inspired by a deep desire to serve God by helping provide clean water to villages in need, Bill founded a nonprofit organization. He said, God awoke me to make the most of the time by finding others with a desire to bring safe drinking water to the rural poor. Later, having learned about the global need for safe water through the requests of thousands of pastors and evangelists from more than 100 countries, Bill invited others to join the ministrys efforts.
God welcomes us to team up to serve with Him and others in various ways. When the people of Corinth argued over which teachers they preferred, the apostle Paul affirmed his role as a servant of Jesus and a teammate of Apollos, fully dependent on God for spiritual growth (1 Corinthians 3:17). He reminds us that all work has God-given value (v. 8). Acknowledging the privilege of working with others while serving Him, Paul encourages us to build each other up as He transforms us in love (v. 9).
Though our mighty Father doesnt need our help to accomplish His great works, He equips us and invites us to partner with Him.
By: Xochitl Dixon Reflect & Pray
How does leaving the results to God give you the courage to risk doing what seems impossible? What hard thing has He invited you to do with His help?
Father, thank You for providing all I need as You continue to accomplish great things in me.

Simply to let everyone know.....today I smelled Autumn while watering the garden.
It has come early this year. Usually I do not smell Autumn until shortly after Labor Day.
What this means is that winter is going to be here early and colder than last year’s winter.
My feet got cold about a week ago.
Trust me on that. My nose, knees, calves and feet are never wrong. Brace for an early and cold winter.

A little taste of Autumn wouldn’t be a bad thing right now. We’ve had hotter summers but this one’s been plenty hot and I’m tired of it.
Just not quiiiiiiite ready for cold but some cool would be mighty fine!

Howdy, Kathy.
Yay for getting some rain yesterday! You needed it.
We got a little last night and a little more this afternoon. It looked like we had more in store for this evening but it fizzled out. *sigh*
At least it cooled off a little after the rain this afternoon. It’ll be hot again tomorrow though. Summer ain’t through with us yet. LOL

Hi, radu!
They were a bit more reasonable, but it still reached 97 this afternoon. We had low humidity, so it wasn’t horrible. I even sat out for a bit in the early afternoon, and it was “almost” pleasant.
How were things there? Still enjoying a bit less humidity, too? Did ya get to enjoy that ice cream?

Ugh! Even with low humidity, 97 is mighty toasty. Still better than 107!
We only had the one day with low humidity. Muggy came right back yesterday and is here to stay for a while. We did get a brief shower last night and a heavier one this afternoon and are happy to get what rain we did. Might get a little tomorrow too.
I did say ‘might’. LOL
I did get to enjoy some of the ice cream this afternoon and am debating on another bowl of it now or another piece of cake. Can’t do both. That cake is too rich but it’s mighty tasty. Guess I’ll have to flip a coin. :-)
