DONALD TRUMP has been heavily backed to beat Democrat nominee and former vice-president Joe Biden in the US election this November in an Express.co.uk poll, with one person warning he is "Americas last hope in maintaining its identity as land of the free".
US President Trump is seeking re-election but is facing strong competition from Mr Biden in the weeks leading up to the crucial national vote on November 3. Either candidate must gain at least 270 out of the 538 Electoral College votes in order to win the presidential election. Each of the 50 US states is divided into a different number of votes based on its population – with Florida carrying the most at 55 votes
Now Express.co.uk readers have overwhelmingly backed Mr Trump to defeat Mr Biden in November's presidential election.
The latest poll, which ran from 10am until 10.30pm on Tuesday August 18, asked: "Who will win the US election this November?"
A huge 80 percent (3,098 readers) backed current President Mr Trump to triumph, with just 17 percent (666 readers) confident Mr Biden could come out on top.
The remaining three percent (147 readers) were undecided.

Maybe this article should be in Breaking News since it is the first media outlet on the planet to announce that Florida now has 55 Electoral College votes.
Everyone needs to keep in mind that this election will have record early voting. President Trump needs to peak early to take that into account.
If you work on the campaign, make sure you put forth the effort before mail-in voting starts and then keep it going.
Whether or not you’re officially working for the campaign, we all need to network to make sure that patriotic Americans vote.
The alternative would be indescribably ugly. Please get every last one of your decent friends to the polls (the living ones - sorry but dead Americans are voting democrat, many of them multiple times).
